For the sixth straight year, the biggest WWE event of the year, WrestleMania, is a two-night event! This year, the WWE heads to Sin City to host the showcase of the immorals at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.
During CM Punk’s first run in WWE, there was one achievement that he never accomplished, and it seemed as if it never would. At every WWE show, fans would still chant “CM PUNK, CM PUNK” and dream of his return to WWE. But Punk ended his seven-year retirement from the sport and returned to the new competition in AEW. During his time in AEW, Punk won the world championship twice and headlined multiple major events, but something was still missing. Main Eventing the biggest event of the year: WrestleMania.
In November 2023, at Survivor Series, Punk returned in the Second City and set the wrestling world on fire. But everything wasn’t smooth sailing from there either. Punk made his WWE debut in the ring at the Royal Rumble but ended up tearing his tricep in the match. Punk had to watch WrestleMania 40 from the sidelines. But after he came back from injury, Punk proved that he isn’t just a veteran happy to be there. He still has a claim to his nickname, “Best in the World.”
After a feud with Drew McIntyre, Punk has been fixated on Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Yes, Reigns will be main-eventing his 10th Mania and his fifth in a row. Rollins is competing in his second straight Main Event. But the biggest story is that Punk finally gets to the Main Event and does it with his best friend, Paul Heyman, by his side. Before Punk left WWE in 2013, Heyman made a promise to Punk: “I am going to walk down the aisle with you one day… in the main event at WrestleMania.” Although Heyman will be by Punk’s side, he still has loyalty to Reigns, and his next move remains unknown.
How to Watch

Full Card and Predictions
Triple Threat Match
Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk
Each wrestler in this match is loss-proof. Meaning, if they lose, it doesn’t affect their star power much at all, since they are all future Hall of Famers. Although this isn’t a championship match, it doesn’t feel like it needs one. This match features three of the biggest stars of the last decade. This is Reigns’ 10th WrestleMania Main Event, which is the most ever.
From 2020 to 2024, Reigns held the championship and was at the peak of WWE. But since WrestleMania 40, Reigns has come up short multiple times. Although it may seem like Reigns needs this victory in this match, interference is likely in this Main Event match. With Punk wrestling in his first Mania Main Event, it is fitting that the second city saint wins his first WrestleMania match since WrestleMania 28 in 2012 against Chris Jericho.
Prediction: Punk beats Reigns and Rollins with interference.
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match
(C) Gunther vs. Jey Uso
After Jey Uso won the 2025 Royal Rumble, the build to a matchup with Gunther started slowly. But during the past few weeks leading up to WrestleMania, Uso and Gunther have both turned it up. Gunther won this championship at SummerSlam and has been a dominant champion. Since WrestleMania 40, Jey Uso has been one of the biggest stars in the WWE and doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon.
Prediction: Jey Uso pins Gunther and wins his first singles championship.
WWE Women’s Championship Match
(C) Tiffany Stratton vs. Charlotte Flair
This feud had a slow start after the Royal Rumble, but heated up after personal shots were fired from each wrestler. Putting Stratton, the young star, against the greatest women’s wrestler of all time, Flair, is a tough test, but it can help build the champion into an even bigger superstar.
In the ring, this has a chance to be a special match and one of the greatest women’s matches ever at WrestleMania. In two years in the WWE, Stratton has proved she has a unique athletic ability. Pairing that with Flair, who is a terrific in-ring technician, should give the fans and everyone involved a spectacular match.
Prediction: Stratton retains her WWE Women’s Championship.
World Tag Team Championship Match
(C) The War Raiders vs. The New Day
Since The New Day cut ties with their former best friend, Big E, they have displayed a new level of aggression and attitude that we have never seen before. Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston are looking to the 12th and record-breaking WWE Tag-Team Championship. But they have a tough test in front of them. The War Raiders are an incredibly physical and agile team that works so well as a duo. I think there’s a chance that Big E makes an appearance, but The New Day winning their first titles as a heel group would be cool to see.
Prediction: The New Day wins their 12th Tag Team Championship.
WWE United States Championship Match
(C) LA Knight vs. Jacob Fatu
This match has the potential to be the match of the night—two of the best athletes and rising stars in the WWE. Knight has done great things for the United States Championship, but it seems he is ready to be in the conversation for the World Championship. Every time Fatu is on WWE TV, he either displays his incredible athletic ability or cuts an elite promo. Fatu is the next great Samoan superstar in WWE, and a win at WrestleMania would greatly benefit him.
Prediction: Fatu beats Knight and wins his first WWE Championship.
Women’s Singles Match
Jade Cargill vs. Naomi
Cargill returned at the Elimination Chamber on March 1 and attacked Naomi after she had previously injured her. Naomi is a great veteran and has been with the WWE for many years, but this is Cargill’s WrestleMania moment to propel her to superstardom.
Prediction: Cargill beats Naomi.
Men’s Singles Match
Rey Mysterio vs. El Grande Americano
This is Mysterio’s 13th WrestleMania match and eighth singles match. Over the past few weeks, Chad Gable has returned with a new character, “El Grande Americano,” and has created a ton of entertaining TV. At 50 years old, Mysterio’s career is coming to an end, and it would be fitting for him to win one more match in his career. It is unknown how many years Mysterio has left, but he has proven that he can still compete at a high level.
Prediction: Mysterio beats El Grande Americano.
