The final game on Friday’s monster MLB schedule is a Golden State matchup between the Giants and the Angels. Both Cali teams started the season strong but have tailed off a bit this week. The Angels dropped four straight before coming home for this series and were swept by the Rangers. Meanwhile, the Giants split a four-game set in Philly after taking two of three from the Yankees. San Francisco is 13-6 and off to a good start to the year as they head to Anaheim to face the Angels, who have slid back to .500 at 9-9. First pitch of this game on MLB Network is set for 9:38 p.m. ET. With so many ways to break down the matchup, here are a few of my best bets for Giants vs. Angels on 4/18/25.

Heliot Ramos over 2+ total bases (+100)
I’m here for the Heliot ladder this Friday night on the road in Anaheim. Ramos has been hitting near the top of the order for the Giants, and in this matchup against a lefty, there are many ways to target him that I like.
On the season, Ramos is hitting .225 with 18 hits, 15 runs scored and nine RBI in his 19 games. He has six doubles and three home runs and a 33 total bases (1.7 total bases per game). He had a double in the team’s loss on Thursday to go over this line.
Ramos is just 4-for-22 (.182) against lefties this season, but three of those four hits have been doubles. He also hit .370 with a .490 wOBA against lefties last season and went 1-for-2 with a walk against Friday’s opponent Tyler Anderson.
Ramos to get 2+ hits is +210 and to score over 0.5 runs is -110. I like both those props, but I feel like there are multiple ways he can hit this total base prop, making it one of my top Giants vs. Angels props on this Friday, especially if Ramos hits leadoff or second in the order. You can also attack his total base ladder and put smaller amounts on 3+ total bases at +190 and 4+ total bases at +275.
Total Strikeouts Thrown over 16.5 (-120)
Both teams in this game rank in the top 10 in K% so far this season. The Giants have a 25.6% K%, which is the third-highest in the MLB behind only the Rockies and Braves, while the Angels rank No. 8 with a 24.5% K%. That strikeout rate averages out to 9.8 strikeouts per game for the Giants and 9.2 strikeouts per game for the Angels.
The Giants have an even higher strikeout rate against lefties, and Anderson has 15 strikeouts in 15 2/3 innings this season. Webb has been even more effective with 26 strikeouts in 24 innings, highlighted by a 10-strikeout game against the Reds two starts ago.
With two teams that strike out a lot and pitchers that average about a strikeout per inning, they should cruise past the line at 16.5.
Tyler Anderson Starting Pitcher Race to 3 Strikeouts (Both Pitchers Must Start)(-110)
I already highlighted Webb to record a win as one of my top starting pitcher prop bets, but for the last of my three Giants Angels bets in this post, I’m picking against Webb by taking Anderson to get to three strikeouts first.
The reason I’m taking Anderson here is that both pitchers average about a strikeout per inning, but the Giants’ K% is so much higher against lefties.
Since the Angels are the home team, he’ll pitch first in each inning, which should allow him to win the race to three strikeouts in this prop.
