Aaron Judge 1+ Home Runs (+225): Judge to hit a home run is often among the most popular prop bets of the day and Wednesday is no different. Judge’s first 77 plate appearances in 2025 have somehow been better than his gargantuan campaigns in 2022 and 2024, with the reigning MVP sporting a .478 expected wOBA and a 246 wRC+. However, Judge hasn’t gone deep since April 4. Maybe the public thinks he’s due? For his career, Judge possesses an eye-popping .333 ISO against left-handed pitching, which is notable with Kris Bubic on the mound for the Royals. Bubic’s been quite good lately, though, and his 0.96 ERA is proof of the lefty’s hot start.
Shohei Ohtani 1+ Home Runs (+245): It’s been business as usual for Ohtani against right-handed pitching so far in 2025, as the NL’s reigning MVP is slashing .277/.424/.553 with a .277 ISO and a 171 wRC+ within the split. This will come as no shock to anyone reading this, but Ohtani is good at hitting home runs and his overall popularity makes him a favorite on the most-bet props leaderboard. Tonight’s matchup will be German Marquez, who has yet to allow an opponent long ball through three starts. Part of that is small sample noise, but it also fits Marquez’s archetype. The RHP’s sinker usage is high (29%) and that’s translated to a 50.0% ground ball rate and just a 2.0% opponent barrel rate.
Mike Trout 1+ Home Runs (+225): The public’s love for Trout on Wednesday night is likely two-fold. First and foremost, Mike Trout is healthy and amazing, despite a batting average currently below the Mendoza line. Don’t be fooled. Trout’s .128 BABIP is laughable and the former MVP comes into tonight’s contest with a 96th percentile expected slugging rate (.632) and the 90th percentile barrel rate (17.8%). The second part of this is the presence of Patrick Corbin. The veteran LHP owned MLB’s worst ERA across the past four seasons and his tenure in Texas hasn’t looked much better. In Corbin’s first outing of 2025, the LHP allowed three runs over just four innings with zero strikeouts. That contact rate combined wit Trout’s barrel rate should equal fireworks.
