We’ve got a full day of baseball goodness on the diamond, yet for DFS purposes, this article will be focusing on DraftKings’ 10-game MLB slate that gets going at 6:35 p.m. ET in Baltimore. Fancy, I know.

Here are some value picks that will make your lineup construction so much easier on Wednesday.

SP Bobby Miller, Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Colorado Rockies, $7,700

There’s some real “unstoppable force meeting an immovable object” vibes to this Miller start. The former top prospect is still throwing hard and striking out enough people to be interesting at Triple-A so far this season, but Miller’s 2.25 ERA is masking the fact that he’s also walked 11 opponents in his 12.0 innings of work in the minors. That’s less than ideal. However, on a slate that lacks high-ceiling pitching depth, Miller has to be considered at this price point — especially given his matchup on Wednesday night.

The Rockies are a mess offensively and, as you might expect, things have been at their lowest when the team is on the road away from Coors. Within the split, Colorado ranks dead-last in baseball in both wOBA (.226) and wRC+ (43), while also being in possession of MLB’s highest strikeout rate (31.6%). If Miller can’t convert this opportunity into a quality start, I doubt we see the 26-year-old in Dodger blue again anytime soon.

2B/3B Luis Rengifo, Los Angeles Angels at Texas Rangers, $3,800

Rengifo has primarily been operating as the Angels’ two-hole hitter in 2025 — batting directly in front of Mike Trout ($5,900) — so the utility infielder is pretty much already a viable value pick on that basis alone. However, it’s the presence of Patrick Corbin ($6,200) that really gets me excited. Things went about as well as you could expect in Corbin’s first outing with Texas. The veteran LHP surrendered three earned runs across just four innings, failing to strikeout a single opposing hitter in the process. That’s how you post an ERA above 5.00 in four consecutive seasons. That’s how you manage to finish the day with an ugly 11.19 xERA. Rengifo’s a switch-hitter, yet he’s always been at his best when facing a southpaw. To wit, in 2024, Rengifo slashed .352/.397/.500 in his 58 plate appearances within the split.

1B/3B Curtis Mead, Tampa Bay Rays vs. Boston Red Sox, $3,400

I feel like it’s been slightly less discussed than what’s going on in Sacramento, but the Rays are also enjoying hitting in their minor league home stadium. In fact, entering play on Wednesday, Tampa is batting .281 as a team at George M. Steinbrenner Field with a .352 wOBA and a 141 wRC+. That contagious hitting hasn’t quite made its way to Mead, who has struggled to begin 2025, but everything could certainly turn around this evening. Boston will send Sean Newcomb ($5,800) to the mound and the journeyman LHP has already allowed 20 opponent hits in his 12.2 innings of work with the Red Sox. The last time that the Rays saw a lefty? Sunday. Mead hit second in the lineup that afternoon. If the same script plays out tonight, Mead needs to be considered at this salary.
