Major League Baseball has a jam-packed Wednesday with some getaway games in the afternoon followed by a big, 10-game MLB DFS slate in the evening. To include some of the earlier starts, the contests lock at 6:35 p.m. ET, and five of the games get going right away before 7:00 p.m. ET rolls around. The slate will continue through the night, though, with the Dodgers and Rockies in the late-night matchup in Los Angeles closing out the action after their 10:10 p.m. ET start time.
While there are only two divisional matchups on the board, there are still several interesting series wrapping up and some fascinating starting pitcher options to consider. Let’s dive into this 20-team player pool and take a look at my top MLB DFS picks for Wednesday night’s slate.

PITCHER
Stud
Kris Bubic, Kansas City Royals at New York Yankees, $8,400: While the slate doesn’t have many sure-fire aces on the board, there are lots of options with tantalizing upside. Bubic has been great this season and would seem to be the easy pick, except that he is facing the Yankees in the Bronx, which is always a high-risk situation. Still, given how sharp the 27-year-old lefty has looked this year, he’s a strong enough option to still give him the starting nod despite the tough matchup.
In his first three starts of the season, Bubic went 2-1, allowing just three earned runs over 18 2/3 innings. He racked up 21 strikeouts over that span while allowing just 14 hits and five walks. He earned 29.9 fantasy points against the Brewers and 29.4 fantasy points against the Orioles in his two victories, showing how high his ceiling can be. Even his start against the Guardians wasn’t bad, he simply got no run support in the loss.
Bubic’s adjusted arm angle is making his pitches more effective, as you can see from his start against the Orioles.

Osvaldo Bido, Athletics at Chicago White Sox, $7,200: This isn’t just hopping on the “pitcher against the White Sox” hype train, since I mentioned Bido as a sleeper I liked back in spring training. The Athletics’ righty has gone 1-1 in his first three starts of the season, compiling a 3.00 ERA by going exactly five innings in each start and picking up a total of 14 strikeouts.
Bido struggled with his control in his first start of the year in Seattle, issuing four free passes, but didn’t walk any against the Padres in his last outing. He has totaled between 11 and 16 fantasy points in each of his three outings, but he has a higher ceiling than that against the White Sox on Wednesday.
Chicago has scored the second-fewest runs in the MLB (behind only the Rockies) and has the second-lowest team batting average at just .200 (behind only the Pirates). They also rank in the top 10 in strikeout rate, so Bido should be a solid source of strikeouts at this salary.
INFIELD
Stud
Bobby Witt Jr., Kansas City Royals at New York Yankees, $6,100: Witt is averaging a healthy 10 fantasy points per game on the season and has hit safely in eight straight games coming into Wednesday’s matchup with Yankees starter Clark Schmidt ($7,400; shoulder), who is coming off IL to make his season debut.
Although the Royals have lost the first two games of the series, Witt has posted 17 and seven fantasy points with an extra-base hit in each game. On the year, he has a .313 batting average with two home runs, eight stolen bases and a .383 wOBA. While those numbers are slightly down from last year, the matchup and game environment give him enough of a boost that I still like him as a stud to build around on Wednesday.

Luis Rengifo, Los Angeles Angels at Texas Rangers, $3,800: Rengifo has typically been hitting second in the lineup this season, which puts him in a premiere run-production spot. He is hitting .241 in his 16 games with one home run and a .292 wOBA. Before going 0-for-4 on Tuesday, he had hit safely in eight straight starts.
He should be set to bounce back in a great matchup against lefty Patrick Corbin ($6,200), who was shelled last year and gave up three runs on five hits in four innings in his 2025 debut. Last year, Rengifo hit .352 against southpaws with a .389 wOBA and 156 wRC+ in the split. Getting him in this matchup at under $4,000 with eligibility at either 2B or 3B makes him a high-upside play that fits into lots of roster constructions.

Ben Williamson, Seattle Mariners at Cincinnati Reds, $2,000: Williamson made his MLB debut on Tuesday night and went 1-for-3 with a run scored and five fantasy points. He could continue to fill in at the hot corner while Jorge Polanco is limited to DH responsibilities by side soreness. Williamson hit .283 in Single-A and Double-A last year while stealing 19 bases in 124 games with a .360 wOBA. This year, he hit .281 in 14 games in Triple-A with a pair of stolen bases before joining the M’s on Sunday. If he gets another start on Wednesday at Great American Ballpark against Nick Martinez ($7,000), Williamson will be a great source of savings that brings some solid upside at the minimum MLB DFS salary.
OUTFIELD
Stud
Corbin Carroll, Arizona Diamondbacks at Miami Marlins, $6,200: Carroll had a huge night on Tuesday, powering the Dbacks to a 10-4 win by going 2-for-5 with a double, a home run, five RBI and 29 fantasy points. It was his third straight multi-hit game and gave him five games with at least 14 fantasy points in his last six contests.
On the season, Carroll is hitting .338 with six homers, a .487 wOBA and a 61.5% hard-hit rate, per Statcast. He’s just 6-for-24 (.250) with six singles against lefties, so his numbers against righties, like Wednesday’s opponent Max Meyer ($8,100), make him a stud to consider for MLB DFS whenever Arizona is facing a right-handed starting pitcher.

Taylor Ward, Los Angeles Angels at Texas Rangers, $4,300: Ward is a great place to look for a midrange play with good upside as he takes on Patrick Corbin. Ward has five homers and a .316 wOBA on the season out of the leadoff spot for the Halos and is hitting .308 with a .519 wOBA over his last six games. While he hasn’t hit lefties well in a small sample size this season, in his career he has hit .284 with a .345 wOBA and 121 wRC+ against LHPs.

Griffin Conine, Miami Marlins vs. Arizona Diamondbacks, $2,700: Conine has gotten off to a strong start to the season for the Fish, hitting .320 with a home run, five doubles and five RBI. He has a 58.3% hard-hit rate, per Statcast, and he has picked up multiple hits and at least 14 fantasy points in three straight games. He’s only playing against righties, but he should get a start against Brandon Pfaadt ($8,700) and the Diamondbacks on Wednesday night. His current form makes him a good play under $3,000 for MLB DFS even though the Marlins’ lineup definitely isn’t one of the best in the league.
