BREAK IT DOWN:
(stats taken from DraftKings Sportsbook’s Stats Hub)
Zach Edey Rebounds O/U, Over 10.5: Listen up. The rookie has recorded 16+ rebounds in each of the Grizzlies last three road games, and averaged 15.6 boards per game over his last six—it’s worth mentioning that two of those games he put up 19 and 21 rebounds. While the Warriors are a talented team, they play small, with the tallest guy in the starting five standing at 6’7. Edey is [checks notes] 7’4. I don’t know about you, but I’m loving the over on rebounds for the Purdue product tonight.
Onyeka Okongwu Points + Rebounds, 25+: The 24-year-old has not been a glowing image of consistency, but rather has spirts of impressive play at the back stretch of the regular season. Okongwu averaged 15.7 points and 10.3 rebounds over his last 10 games, notching three double-doubles in three of his last four. With the playoffs just one win away, the Hawks will need their forward to be aggressive on the glass against a Magic squad that allowed the sixth-lowest rebounds per game to their opponents in the regular season. I like the over here, and so does the public.
Jimmy Butler Points O/U, Over 22.5: We ALL know playoff Jimmy… but, this isn’t the playoffs. This is the Play-In, and with a playoff spot on the line, my money’s on Butler to go crazy. The former Miami Heat star has put up 24+ points in all of the Warriors’ last three games, but has gone 36-19 on the under when his line is set at 22.5 points. Is the later something to consider? Sure, in a regular season game. But the stakes are higher, the lights are brighter, and I’m ready for the new “Play-In Jimmy” to emerge.
