Pistons vs. Knicks: NBA Playoff Series Best Bets

Some bets on these NBA Playoff series’ require deeper digging, but when I saw the number on total games in the series between the Pistons and the Knicks, it was a bet I played on immediately. There’s a reason nearly 90% of the money at DraftKings Sportsbook is on the underdog Pistons to win this series. The Knicks are wildly overpriced on the series line, sitting at -400 as of Tuesday afternoon.

Now, will the Pistons ultimately pull the upset? I’d lean no. I think the Knicks do have enough to pull the series out. But Detroit absolutely has the talent to hang around, and a superstar in Cade Cunningham that can steal you games. We saw that throughout the course of the regular season, once the Pistons found their identity. The Knicks pounded the Pistons by 30 points back on November 1, but since then, Detroit has won three in a row in this matchup, including both games at Madison Square Garden. Cunningham was a big reason why, averaging over 30 points in the four meetings, including 36 points in each of the last two wins.

It might be a year too early for these young Pistons to advance in the postseason, but they’re going to be a tough out. Regardless of winner, I see each time finding success throughout the series, which is why OVER 5.5 games is my favorite play for the series.

Best Bet for the Series: OVER 5.5 Games (-115) 1-unit
