During Tuesday’s game, Washington Nationals infielder Paul DeJong left the game with a head injury. The 31-year-old former All-Star was struck in the face by a fastball in the top of the sixth inning and left the game in considerable pain. Washington’s medical staff was quickly on hand.

Amed Rosario pinch ran for DeJong in the contest. It took a while for the game to resume, as all involved were understandably shaken up. The Nationals have not provided any update on DeJong’s status as of now.

Hopefully, DeJong can make a swift recovery from a scary injury. We will update his status as soon as we know more.
