MLB Prop Bets for Tuesday, April 15, 2025
Jose Ramirez over 1.5 H/R/RBI -105
It’s been a slow start to the 2025 season for José Ramírez, who is slashing just .229/.316/.521 through 14 games. That said, I do like his matchup tonight against Orioles starter Charlie Morton. It’s been a rough go for the veteran Orioles starter, who has allowed at least four runs in his three starts in 2025. Morton has been reduced to essentially two pitches in his arsenal, throwing a four-seam fastball and a curveball. Both of these pitches, when thrown by a righty, play into Ramírez’s wheelhouse. Against the fastball, Ramírez has a .417 wOBA with a .331 ISO. His numbers are equally good against the curve with a .475 wOBA and a .269 ISO.
I think this game will see a lot of offense early from both sides (I also don’t mind playing over 4.5 runs through the first five innings), and Ramírez should be in the mix.

Justin Verlander under 16.5 outs recorded -120
Verlander hasn’t faced a particularly tough schedule but has been struggling on the mound. Against the Reds twice and the Mariners, Verlander has allowed 10 runs on 16 hits with six walks and 16 strikeouts through 13 innings. He’ll face his toughest matchup to date when he takes on the Phillies in Philadelphia. I’ve been taking the under on his outs prop in each start, and it’s hit in two of the three. Verlander doesn’t go deep into games anymore, which we also saw last season. For tonight’s prop, set at 16.5 outs, Verlander went under in 11 of his 17 starts.
Walks have been an issue early on for him, as he’s posted a 4.1 BB/9. The Phillies have been one of the most patient teams thus far, boasting an impressive 11.4% walk rate, the second-highest in the league. If the Phillies can work the count against Verlander, it will easily drive up his pitch count and contribute to an early exit.

Ben Rice over 1.5 H/R/RBI -110
Rice has been crushing it atop the Yankees lineup, slashing .308/.471/.769 with a .513 wOBA through 26 at bats hitting first. Tonight, he’ll be facing Royals starter Michael Wacha, who hasn’t looked sharp through three outings. Wacha has a 4.20 ERA along with a 5.31 xERA and a 5.19 FIP. His command has been uncharacteristically shaky and he’s allowed a 50% fly ball rate. Even worse for Wacha, winds are expected to be blowing out in New York tonight up to 20 mph. With the way Rice has been hitting, getting -110 on him to go over 1.5 H/R/RBI feels a bit generous. While the season is still Young, the over has hit in 10 of the 15 games Rice has played.
