The 2025 NBA Play-In Tournament kicks off on Tuesday with a Southeast Division showdown. The 40-42 Hawks will travel to the Sunshine State for a battle with the 41-41 Magic. For the winner, a series with the second-seeded Celtics awaits. Tonight’s loser will need to face one of the Heat or Bulls in an elimination game on Friday.

Betting Splits
As favorites, it’s no surprise to see the Magic are more supported by the public. 72% of all bets and 67% of the handle are backing the home team, and for good reason. Despite missing solid contributors such as Jalen Suggs (knee) and Moe Wagner (knee), Orlando is the healthier of these two squads. The Hawks will be without Jalen Johnson (shoulder) and Clint Capela (hand), major pieces in their front court.
The spread is a bit more even; Orlando received 55% of all bets and 58% of the handle. There’s a 17% increase in total bets on the spread for Atlanta (45%) compared to the moneyline (28%). This season, these teams split the season series, with each side winning two games a piece.

Orlando’s two stars, Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner, have been targeted as first-bucket scorers. The pair are averaging a combined 50.1 points per game, carrying an otherwise lackluster offense. It might make sense to play both, giving bettors a two-in-five chance of hitting this prop if the Magic score first.
The fourth-most bet player prop tonight is backing Caris LeVert as a shooter and rebounder. Since joining the Hawks in February, the 30-year-old has posted 14.9 points and 3.7 boards per game. Atlanta’s sixth man has hit this total in all four of his meetings with the Magic this season.
