The final round of the 89th edition of the Masters is underway at Augusta National Golf Club and our DK Network analysts are going to be providing updates in this live blog throughout Sunday’s round, which should be eventful with many big names atop the leaderboard.

Here’s the latest of our Masters Final Round live updates:

Three $1 Million Winning Entries (8:00 PM)

To celebrate the Masters, DraftKings had three DFS contests that awarded a top prize of $1 Million. At the end of the final round, here are the three leading entries in those big contests.

Rory McIlroy Wins the 2025 Masters Tournament (7:25 PM)

It was far from a straight path to victory, as you can see from the Masters Final Round live blog below, but at the end of the day, Rory McIlroy did just enough to win his first green jacket. He made a birdie on No. 18 on the first hole of the sudden-death playoff against Ryder Cup teammate Justin Rose at the end of a topsy-turvy final round.

He had huge shots to set up birdies on No. 17 and No. 15, but couldn’t save par out of the bunker on No. 18.

He birdied it when it really mattered, though, claiming his fifth major championship and his third victory of 2025. He also completed the career grand slam, becoming the first golfer to win all four majors in his career since Tiger Woods completed the accomplishment in 2000.

I’ll be back for one more update with a look at the lineup of the leaders of each of the three DraftKings contests that are ready to hand out a $1 Million top prize.

Approach Shots For The Ages (7:16 PM)

Both Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose hit drives in the fairway and were set up for critical approach shots in the first hole of the playoff. Rose’s was beautiful and but the pressure on Rory, but McIlroy delivered yet another shot of a lifetime.

Both players have makeable birdie putts with Rose set to play first. -Zach Thompson

PLAYOFF?!?! We’re Talkin Bout A Playoff! (7:05 PM)

Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose will play No. 18 in the first hole of the sudden-death playoff to claim the green jacket and the 2025 Masters championship.

Both players have had great rounds with plenty of memorable iconic shots, but there is still drama left on the course.

Moments ago, Rory bogeyed No. 18 after Rose birdied it to make this playoff necessary. Both players finished at -11, two strokes ahead of Patrick Reed, who finished third. -Zach Thompson

Rory McIlroy And Justin Rose Are Headed To A Playoff At The 2025 Masters (6:56 PM)

Rory McIlroy couldn’t convert a putt to win the Masters, and we’re headed to a playoff as he takes on Justin Rose, who made 10 birdies in his final round including a long putt at his last hole.

While we get ready for plenty more drama left in this year’s Masters, let’s look at the rest of the leaderboard.

Ludvig Aberg was tied with Rory and Rose at one point but finished his second Masters with a triple-bogey on No. 18 that saw him slip back to seventh place. Patrick Reed finished in third place at -9, and defending champion Scottie Scheffler finished fourth at -8. Playing with Rory, Bryson DeChambeau shot a +3 to sink to T5 with Sungjae Im.

Rose matched Hideki Matsuyama’s 66 for the low round of the day. -Zach Thompson

The Rory-Coaster Reaches New Heights (6:33 PM)

After Justin Rose’s long putt matched the birdie after Rory McIlroy’s “Shot of a Lifetime” from No. 15, Rory came back with another heroic effort on No. 17.

Rory converted his putt to get to -12, where he started the day 17 holes ago. If he can get a par or better on No. 18, the 35-year-old will complete the career grand slam and claim his first win at the Masters. It has been far from a smooth ride for Rory, but he’s nearing the finish line.

Reed From Downtown! (6:22 PM)

While he’s still probably too far back to contend for the win, Patrick Reed had a memorable eagle on No. 17.

He heads to the final hole at -9 and tied for third with Ludvig Aberg, two shots back of Justin Rose in the clubhouse and Rory McIlroy, who is currently still playing No. 17, where Reed just holed out. -Zach Thompson

Winning The Masters Is Hard (6:19 PM)

Rory McIlroy hasn’t made it easy on Sunday, but he has two holes to claim his long-awaited green jacket and the career grand slam.

He started the day with a two-stroke lead and immediately gave it away with a double-bogey on No. 1, falling behind Bryson DeChambeau. He battled back and built a three-stroke lead before going double-bogey, bogey to fall out of the lead again. Justin Rose momentarily took over the top spot on the leaderboard, but fell back into a tie with Rory after a bogey.

Rory’s magical shot on No. 15 set him up for eagle but his putt rolled just left, leaving him a birdie to get to -11, one stroke ahead of Rose with three holes to play.

On No. 18 just ahead of McIlroy, Rose sunk a long putt to match Rory at -11. Rose finished the day with a 66 that matched Hideki Matsuyama for the low round of the day. Rose made six birdies on his last eight holes with bogeys on his other two holes during that stretch.

Rory McIlroy’s Moment Just Happened (6:05 PM)

Leave it to Jim Nantz to sum it up–“The shot of a lifetime.”

His playing parter, Bryson DeChambeau had just rinsed his approach shot, and Rory was coming off a double-bogey and a bogey to give away his lead, but he came through when it mattered most.

He is still tied with Justin Rose and Ludvig Aberg for the lead at this point, but it looks like he’ll be able to get the shot he needs to take the lead heading into the final three holes. With how his Rory-coaster of a day has been, though, there’s still plenty of golf left for something strange to happen. -Zach Thompson

Three-Way Tie At The Top (6:00 PM)

Rory McIlroy followed up his double-bogey at No. 13 with another bogey at No. 14. His par-saving shot hung over the edge of the cup but refused to drop to keep him tied for the lead. Moments later, Justin Rose couldn’t save par on No. 17 with both players dropping to -10, where Ludvig Aberg was waiting for them after a birdie on No. 15.

Two shots behind them lurks defending champion Scottie Scheffler in solo fourth. Rose has just one hole remaining and will probably need a birdie since Rory still has four holes left and Aberg still has three holes left.

The green jacket is very much still up for grabs as we reach 6:00. According to data golf, Rory McIlroy still has the best chances to win at 45.7 % while Ludvig Aberg is at 26.3% and Justin Rose is at 26.2%. No. 17 and No. 18 are both still playing over-par for the day, but No. 15 is a par 5 that Rory should be able to attack.-Zach Thompson

Lead? What Lead? (Part II) (5:43 PM)

Rory McIlroy was in firm control of the Masters until his double-bogey on No. 13. At almost the same time, Justin Rose did this:

Rose and Rory are now both at -11 with Ludvig Aberg at -9 and defending champion Scottie Scheffler at -8.

Rose has just two holes left, while Rory just teed off on No. 14. -Zach Thompson

Rory McIlroy Rinses on No. 13 (5:37 PM)

Rory laid back with his second shot on No. 13, but then he hit his third shot into the creek in front of the green. With Justin Rose just three strokes back, there’s still plenty of drama to come from Augusta!

Are we getting another Rory implosion or will he hold on with five holes remaining? –Zach Thompson

Bryson DeChambeau Fading Fast (5:30 PM)

After the second hole, Bryson DeChambeau had a one-shot lead over Rory McIlroy. That seems like a long time ago, though, as the LIV Golf star has tumbled down the leaderboard since then.

Bryson had back-to-back bogeys to quickly give the lead back to Rory and dropped three more shots over the last two holes. After 12 holes, Bryson sits at +4 on the day and has slid to T9 on the leaderboard.

His playing partner, Rory McIlroy is -1 for the day through 12 holes and now sits three strokes ahead of Justin Rose, who is solo second after a birdie out of the bunker on No. 15. –Zach Thompson

Rory, Rose and Bryson Dropping Shots (5:20 PM)

After back-to-back birdies on the turn, Rory McIlroy ran into some trouble on No. 11.

He narrowly missed even more trouble by hitting it near the water but still ended up with just a bogey. He still has a four-shot lead, though, since Justin Rose bogeyed No. 14 at the same time. Ludvig Aberg birdied to tie Rose for second place.

On the same hole that Rory bogeyed, Bryson DeChambeau finished with a double-bogey and dropped all the way back to a T6 at +3 for the round. –Zach Thompson

Justin Rose Again! (5:00 PM)

After holding the solo lead at the end of both of the first two rounds, Justin Rose had a rough Saturday and fell back into the pack. He’s back on Sunday, though!

Rose made three straight birdies and is -5 through his last seven holes to move into solo second place at -10.

Meanwhile, Rory dropped another birdie on No. 10 and is now down to -14. According to data golf, he’s now has a 92.3% chance of winning the tournament. Bryson has faded to T3 with Ludvig Aberg, five shots off Rory’s pace. –Zach Thompson

Rory Extends His Lead With Birdie On No. 9 (4:49 PM)

Rory wasn’t content with a three-stroke lead heading into the turn.

His birdie gets him to -1 on the day and increases his chances of winning to 82.3%, according to data golf. In a three-way tie for second, Justin Rose has a 3.5% chance, Ludvig Aberg has a 4.3% chance, and Bryson DeChambeau still has the second-best chance at 5.3%.

Can one of those players or another player from further back in the pack chase down Rory on the back nine or is history in the making? –Zach Thompson

Reed Aloud: Four Straight Birdies (4:35 PM)

2018 Masters champion and LIV Golf star Patrick Reed knocked in four straight birdies to close out his front nine and is now at -9 in a tie for fifth with Corey Conners. Justin Rose and Ludvig Aberg were also in that tie but both just sunk birdie putts to catch Bryson DeChambeau for second place, three strokes behind Rory McIlroy.

The leaders are approaching the turn, so we’ve still got a whole second half of a thrilling final round to enjoy. Don’t go anywhere! (But if you do, check back for updates here in our Masters Final Round live blog). –Zach Thompson

Masters Final Round live: Growing Group at -7 (4:30 PM)

While neither Rory McIlroy nor Bryson DeChambeau were able to cash in on the birdie chance on No. 8 after hitting his drive into the bunker, the very top of the leaderboard stays stationary, which is just fine for Rory, who has a three-stroke lead.

However, elsewhere on the course, there have been a few big names on the move. Corey Conners and justin Rose have joined Ludvig Aberg at -8 in a tie for third place, and several big names are now at -7. Sungjae Im just made an eagle on No. 13 to get to that number and join defending champion Scottie Scheffler, Patrick Reed, and Jason Day, who just made a birdie on No. 9.

For fantasy golf and top-10 picks, there’s still a lot shifting around even though the top two have started pouring in pars. –Zach Thompson

Signature Moment? (4:13 PM)

With his shaky start firmly behind him, we may have Rory McIlroy’s signature shot from the final round as his approach on No. 7.

Bryson DeChambeau hit his approach into the bunker, but as it turned out, both players ended up making a third straight par and stayed where they were. Rory is -12 for the tournament and three strokes ahead of Bryson as they head to the par 5 eighth hole, which has played as one of the easiest relative to par on the day. Ludvig Aberg made par on no. 8 and remains one stroke behind Bryson in solo third. –Zach Thompson

Catch Your Breath (4:00 PM)

Where we are isn’t really that surprising; how we got here has been quite the adventure. After both Bryson DeChambeau and Rory McIlroy saved par on No. 5 and made another par on No. 6. Let’s do a quick reset–Rory is even par for the round and Bryson is +1. McIlroy’s lead has grown to three shots headed to No. 6, and his chances of winning have increased to 77.1%, according to data golf. Bryon’s chances have dipped to 13.4%.

Behind the leaders, Ludvig Aberg, Justin Rose and defending champion Scottie Scheffler are all -2 on the day while Corey Conners has slipped up with a +1. All those players are within a handful of the lead.

Lower down the leaderboard, Harris English has a -4 round going and is up to T12 through 16 holes. Bubba Watson finished up his -4 round and is T12 in the clubhouse. The round of the day still belongs to Hideki Matsuyama, who fired a 66 to go -6 to move up to T20. –Zach Thompson

Bryson Backing Up; Rory Regains Momentum (3:38 PM)

The reports of Rory’s demise appear to have been greatly exaggerated. After his opening double-bogey and a Bryson birdie, Rory went from two shots up to one stroke behind in just two holes. Since then, though, he made back-to-back birdies while Bryson made back-to-back bogeys.

Net result–Rory now leads by three strokes after starting the day up by just two.

The roller coaster continues for the leaders on No. 5 where both drives set the golfers on adventurous paths to the green.

Meanwhile, Ludvig Aberg has entered the chat with a birdie on No. 6 and is just one shot behind Bryson at -8 alone in third place. –Zach Thompson

Rory Back On The Right Track? (3:20 PM)

Will we look at the first two holes of Rory’s round as just a blip on his way to the green jacket? He took a big step to putting his disastrous start behind him with a big birdie on the par 4 hole No. 3.

He lost the lead to Bryson DeChambeau after making a par on No. 2, since Bryson birdied, but McIlroy is back alone on top of the leaderboard after DeChambeau bogeyed No. 3. If you wanted a back-and-forth heavyweight duel, that’s exactly what we’ve had so far and exactly what we’re set up for over the next 13 holes. –Zach Thompson

Masters Final Round Live: Rory McIlroy Not Rolling Right (3:05 PM)

After just two holes, Rory’s round is already falling apart. He double-bogeyed No. 1 after hitting his drive into a bunker, and he barely saved par on the par 5 No. 2 after another drive ended up in the sand. After starting Saturday’s round -5 through five holes, he’s +2 through two holes in Round 4.

While he has come back to -10, his playing partner Bryson DeChambeau saved par on No. 1 and made a birdie on No. 2 to take over the solo lead at -11 through two holes.

Behind Rory, Ludvig Aberg and Corey Conners are tied for third at -7 while Justin Rose slipped to -6 and is alone in fifth place. –Zach Thompson

Masters Final Round Live: Lead? What Lead? (2:46 PM)

The leaders looked a little shaky at the start of their round. Rory McIlroy hit his driver into a bunker and started the day with a double-bogey 6. It was just the second double-bogey of the day at No. 1, and a stark contrast to yesterday’s round that Rory started -5 through five holes.

Bryson DeChambeau also had a slippery start but converted a par saver to close the gap and tie Rory at -10 at the top of the leaderboard.

While Rory’s lead has totally evaporated, there are low scores just ahead of them including Justin Rose, who is -2 through three holes and has moved up into a T3 with Ludvig Aberg and Corey Conners just three shots off the lead now.

As mentioned in the last post, off the tee on No. 1, Rory McIlroy had a 65.7% chance of winning per data golf, but that dropped to 45.1% after his double-bogey. –Zach Thompson

As The Leaders Go, Here’s What The Data Shows (2:32 PM)

The final group is playing the first hole of the course, and we’re starting to get some data about how the course is playing on this majestic Sunday.

The course is playing slightly over par (+0.09) for Round 4 so far, which would be the lowest scoring round of the week. However, as the day goes on, we’ve seen the numbers rise as the course dries out and greens become less receptive.

Among the groups so far, hole No. 2 is the easiest relative to par on the course with No. 8 not far behind. Hole No. 11 is the hardest hole on the course so far but is followed by a stretch of five straight holes that are playing under par. The final two holes are also playing very difficult with more bogeys than birdies of the groups that have played that part of the course.

According to data golf, Rory McIlroy has a 65.7% chance of winning as he tees off on No. 1 while Bryson DeChambeau has a 22.4% chance of winning. –Zach Thompson

Masters Final Round live update: Morikawa Starts Fast (2:18 PM)

While we’re still a few groups from the leaders teeing off, a few big names are already applying some pressure. Collin Moriwaka made back-to-back birdies to move to -3 through four holes to climb up to a T7.

After leading at the end of the first and the second round, Justin Rose started Round 4 with a birdie and moved to T4. –Zach Thompson

We’re 30 minutes from the leaders teeing off to start another great Sunday at Augusta National. Here’s a great montage to remind us of some of the most meaningful moments we’ve on past Sundays.

Hideki Sets The Early Standard (1:46 PM)

Things could definitely get even more interesting on Sunday at Augusta National Golf Club. The variance in scores available on this Sunday is staggering.

The best early round of the day was just completed by 2021 Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama. He carded seven birdies and just one bogey, which came at No. 18. He finished with an impressive 66 which is an amazing turnaround for the veteran from Japan who was +7 on Saturday.

On the other extreme, two players are currently at +3 on the course, on pace to finish nine strokes worse than Matsuyama’s round. Augusta is definitely providing the potential for players to take off and close major ground up the leaderboard.

You think there could be some movement on the leaderboard this Sunday with that wide of a range of outcomes? It looks like Rory is in control with a two-stroke lead over Bryson DeChambeau and a four-stroke margin over the rest of the field, but that can all change in a hurry, so stay tuned for what should be a wild ride.

Even if Rory does bring it home, the fantasy contests and betting outcomes behind him are still very far from being a “done deal.” Get your lineups and betting cards ready, and strap in for what should be a wild ride this Sunday. –Zach Thompson

Early Movers On Sunday (1:26 PM)

It didn’t take long for someone to start making a move on this Sunday at Augusta. 2021 Masters champion Hideki Matsuyama is skyrocketing up the Masters Final Round Live leaderboard. He had four birdies on the front nine and added two more through No. 16. At -6 for the day, he’s the low round of the day at this point and has vaulted into the top 20, moving to T17 at -2 for the tournament.

While Matsuyama’s charge will likely come up short, it definitely gives a huge boost to the 5.59% of entries that rostered him in the $4M Fantasy Golf Millionaire. He also will be right on the edge of a top-20 finish if he can finish the final two difficult holes without slipping up.

Matsuyama’s early run also indicates that the course is scorable if players aggressively attack pin positions. Brian Campbell finished -4 for his round, while Joaquin Niemann is off to a hot start with a -2 through his first five holes. Get ready for what should be a thrilling afternoon. –Zach Thompson

Hello, Friends! (1:14 PM)

It’s that time, boys and girls! If you’re a golf fan, it doesn’t get better than Sunday at the Masters. I’m stoked to be back at the helm for this year’s Masters Final Round live updates.

By the end of the day, we’ll not only will we get the first major champion of the year, we’ll also have not one, not two, but three $1 Million prizes awarded in DraftKings three Millionaire contests. We’ll keep an eye on those contests as well as the players climbing to the top of the leaderboard.

Rory McIlroy holds a two-shot lead heading into the final round (11:24 AM)

After carding his second straight 6-under 66 on Saturday, McIlroy holds a two-shot lead over Bryson DeChambeau at the Masters. McIlroy’s 66 on moving day tied for the lowest score of the third round and the Irishman is in great position to win his first-ever Masters, which would complete the career grand slam. The 35-year-old and DeChambeau along with Corey Conners, who is alone in third place at -8, will be the final group at the Masters on Sunday. They will tee off at 2:30 PM ET. With the two-stroke lead, McIlroy is a -200 favorite to win the Masters on DraftKings Sportsbook, while DeChambeau carries +240 odds and Conners carries +1400 odds. Seven shots off the lead, Scottie Scheffler is one of four players T6 at -5 and sports the fourth-best odds, +4000.
