Saturday is jam-packed with baseball with matchups spread throughout the afternoon and evening. DraftKings has two main slates of action with five games on the early slate that starts at 4:05 p.m. ET and six games on the main slate, which gets underway at 6:40 p.m ET. In this post, we’ll focus on the 12 teams in action under the lights and pinpoint some top matchups to attack for MLB stacks. Several teams are at the back end of the rotation, creating favorable matchups for offenses this Saturday.
Stacking is a solid MLB DFS strategy to consider that creates the potential for positive correlation by including multiple players from the same lineup on your fantasy roster. It’s even better if you lean into the same section of the lineup. Lining up multiple hitters from the same team can produce great results if the opposing starting pitcher struggles. Since players get points for every run scored, hit and RBI, multiple players on your roster can produce on the same play if stacked together. Stacking also increases the risk of your lineup, but the added ceiling is worth it if you can find the right MLB stacks to target. Even more so than in other sports, baseball lineups are interdependent, so getting one of your MLB stacks that goes off for a big night can catapult you to victory.

1. Los Angeles Dodgers
Shohei Ohtani ($6,600)

The Dodgers opened their homestand with a 3-0 win over the Cubs, and they’ll look to keep rolling as they take on Ben Brown ($7,500). Brown has given up 11 runs in 11 2/3 innings this season with a 7.71 ERA, 5.21 FIP and a 48.6% hard-hit rate against. Brown faced the Dodgers in the Tokyo Series and gave up three runs in 2 2/3 innings with three walks and four hits in just 15 batters faced. So far this season, Brown has allowed righties to hit .370 with a .454 wOBA against him, so stacking up righties makes sense in this matchup.
Betts has hit safely in six straight games while going 8-for-24 (.333) with four walks. He is averaging 10.0 fantasy points per game while Hernandez has averaged 10.3 fantasy points per game with four home runs in his last 10 games. Ohtani has four home runs and three stolen bases on the year and always has the potential to go off for a big game. If you are looking for a sneaky stack, you can add Pages as a bargain outfielder along with Ohtani and Betts for the back-door 9-1-2 stack. Pages homered in back-to-back games to finish the team’s road trip but came up empty on Friday night.
2. Houston Astros

The Astros have won four of their last seven games after going off for 14 runs in their series opener at home against the Angels. Smith hit his first homer of his career and had double-digit fantasy points for the third straight game. He is 5-for-11 in those three contests with a triple, a home run and a stolen base. Smith had an impressive spring training but got off to a slow start before finding his groove for his last three games. I highlighted Jose Altuve in my top targets and values for the day, and you can stack those two options along with Paredes, who went 3-for-4 with a home run and 28 fantasy points on Friday and is 10-for-24 (.417) over his last five games.
The Astros get a good matchup against veteran lefty Tyler Anderson ($7,000). So far this season, Anderson allowed five runs in 10 innings while giving up seven hits and six walks. Even in a lefty-lefty matchup, Alvarez is 7-for-19 (.368) with two doubles and three home runs as part of his seven hits. Altuve and Meyers also have good histories against Anderson and can be included as part of the ‘Stros stack on Saturday.
3. Arizona Diamondbacks

The Diamondbacks are another good option to consider for MLB stacks on Saturday, even though they were shut out on Friday night by Jose Quintana and had just four hits. The Dbacks still have the fourth-highest wOBA and fifth-highest wRC+ of all teams in the MLB. They should be in a good bounceback spot against Chad Patrick ($6,900), who is filling in for the Brewers who have multiple injuries in their rotation. Patrick was solid against both the Royals and Reds at home, but starting on the road in Chase Field is a much tougher matchup.
Carroll and Perdomo have been a very productive one-two punch at the top of the order for Arizona with Naylor, Smith and Moreno delivering from the middle of the order. The Diamondbacks have the highest implied run total on the night slate, just edging out the Astros for the top spot. Without Coors Field and Sutter Health Park on the slate, Chase Field is the most hitter-friendly park in play, so stacking up the Dbacks is a good option to consider as they look to back up Corbin Burnes ($10,000) against his former team, the Brewers.
