UPDATE: Curry has returned to Friday’s game.
Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry exited Friday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers with a thumb injury. The 37-year-old superstar appeared to jam his thumb on his leg while dribbling in the first quarter. Curry immediately called to be removed from the game and went directly to the locker room.
No update has been provided on Curry’s status for the game. He experienced issues with that same thumb earlier in the year, so it is cause for concern. The Warriors are in the middle of a heated playoff race in the Western Conference. Their franchise player being hobbled would be a devastating blow. Stay tuned for more updates on Curry’s designation.
