Mavericks SG Klay Thompson is listed as questionable with a foot injury for Friday’s game against Toronto. Thompson is a new addition to the injury report with this issue, so the severity of it remains to be seen.
Spencer Dinwiddie, Dante Exum and Jaden Hardy are also listed as questionable.
With only two games remaining in the season, the Mavericks are locked into a play-in spot, but which seed will they be is the question. Dallas currently sits in 10th position, only a game behind the Kings.
Thompson has been having one of the worst seasons of his career, only averaging 14.1 points per game, his lowest since his rookie season. To make things worse, his 41.2 FG% is a career low. Thompson can still be a valuable piece in the playoffs despite his struggles this season. His three-point shooting could be the difference between advancing and going home.
Regardless, Dallas will have their hands full just to get out of the play-in tournament. Their 38-42 record this season has been overshadowed by a questionable mega trade. Can Klay Thompson provide a spark to end the season on a high?
