The Knicks are taking on the Pistons in Detroit on Thursday night. Here are the best player props to consider for Jalen Brunson on DraftKings Sportsbook.

The Knicks are 3.5-point underdogs against the Pistons, with an o/u of 229 on DraftKings Sportsbook. Here are the latest lines for Brunson on DraftKings Sportsbook: o/u 25.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists and 2.5 three-pointers.

The NBA regular season is down to its final few days, but these games still mean a lot to Brunson and the Knicks. New York is just two games ahead of the Pacers for the three seed in the Eastern Conference, with three games left to play. That means New York only needs to win one of these final three games to secure that seed. However, the Knicks face two of the top six teams in the conference over the next two nights, the Pistons and the Cavaliers. If it comes down to the final day, the Knicks would face the Nets in a very winnable game to secure their seeding.

Seeding aside, these games are also important to get Brunson back up to speed before the playoffs. Brunson missed a month of action after getting injured against the Lakers in March. He returned on Sunday against the Suns, playing 33 minutes, and then he played 38 minutes in the Knicks’ overtime loss to the Celtics on Tuesday night.

Brunson is already playing significant minutes for somebody who missed a month of games. However, looking at last year’s playoff numbers for context, Brunson played an absurd 43.8 minutes per game in the Knicks’ opening series against the 76ers. The Knicks expect a lot out of Brunson to run their offense and be their primary scorer when it matters most in the postseason. So, facing Boston, Cleveland and Detroit, all teams that New York might face in the playoffs, is important for the All-Star guard. He can use this time to ramp up his minutes and get good action against other high-level teams. In his first game back against the Suns, Brunson was quiet offensively, running the offense but not being overly aggressive. However, against Boston, that spark ignited in Brunson, and he tried to take the game over down the stretch as he has so many times for the Knicks. Brunson finished with 27 points, including five made three-pointers.

My favorite Brunson prop for this game is for him to go over 25.5 points. Brunson just dropped 27 on the Celtics, and he will look to carry that momentum through these final three games so that he is ready for the postseason. Brunson has also lit up the Pistons all season when these teams have faced each other. In three matchups against Detroit, Brunson has scored 31 points twice and 36 points in the third game. The Knicks will also be without OG Anunoby and Josh Hart in this game. Those are the Knicks’ third and fifth-leading scorers, so that will put an even bigger burden on Brunson to carry the offensive load. Brunson has cleared this number in all three matchups against the Pistons this season and should do so again in the fourth and final regular-season matchup.

Best Bet: Jalen Brunson o25.5 Points (-120)
