The 2025 MLB season is finally here, and there are some great series to start the season. There are far more ways to get involved in the action than just via traditional betting. One of the more unique features on DraftKings this year is Pick6 Fantasy Baseball!
MLB 4/10/25 Pick6 Plays
Here are my top Pick6 plays for the 4/10 MLB slate.
Rafael Devers More Than 0.5 Home Runs
It was a disastrous start to the 2025 season for Rafael Devers, going hitless and striking out 15 times in his first five games. However, since he broke out of that rut, it has been business as usual for one of the best hitters in baseball. Devers has registered at least one hit in seven of his past eight games with eight RBIs and just four strikeouts. Devers is getting on base consistently, but one thing that is still missing is his great power. He only has one home run so far this season but has hit 27 or more each of the past four seasons. This could be the perfect opportunity for Devers to hit his second homer of the year. Devers will be facing Chris Bassitt, who he has had a lot of success against in his career. Devers is 7/14 with three home runs in his career against Bassitt. After hitting two doubles last night, Devers should be feeling good at the plate, and he will be happy to see a pitcher that he has crushed in the past.

Ty France More Than 1.5 Total Bases
Ty France has been seeing the ball really well over the past few games. France has a three-game hitting streak going, and yesterday against Kansas City, he had three hits, including a home run. He should have a lot of confidence at the plate going into the final game of this series against the Royals, not only because of his great performance yesterday but also due to his strong history against Michael Wacha. France and Wacha have faced each other 20 times before, and France has ten hits in those 20 at-bats. Of those ten hits, five have been doubles, so he has been able to generate power off of Wacha as well. France should get over 1.5 total bases in this game, whether it be from an extra-base hit or multiple singles.

Trea Turner Less Than 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs
It has been a bit of a slow start for Trea Turner. He has been solid in terms of batting average and getting on base, but he has struggled to generate power. Turner recorded just his second RBI of the season in yesterday’s game against Atlanta. Turner has gone under 1.5 hits, runs and RBIs in five out of nine games so far this season. So, overall, this has not been an easy feat for Turner to accomplish this season. It should be even more difficult with today’s matchup against Spencer Schwellenbach. Turner is just 2/9 with two singles in his career against Schwellenbach. Schwellenbach has also been phenomenal in his first two starts this season, going 14 innings without giving up a run. He should shut down Turner and keep him under this number.

Christian Yelich More Than 1.5 Total Bases
Christian Yelich is starting to find some rhythm in his past few games. After a very slow start to the season, Yelich has had a hit in each of his past four games. Not only did he have a hit in each of those four games, but he also recorded an RBI in all four of those games. Yelich has also hit a home run in back-to-back games heading into this one. So, Yelich is not only finding his contact but also his power. He should keep it going today against Ryan Feltner. Yelich has a career tOPS+ of 107 against right-handed pitchers in his career, compared to 82 against lefties. Specifically against Feltner, Yelich is 4/9 in his career with two doubles. He should carry over the momentum from the past several games and get over 1.5 total bases again today.

Bobby Witt Jr. More Than 0.5 RBIs
Bobby Witt Jr. is coming off of a phenomenal 2024 season and is finding his groove again early on in 2025. Witt has an extra-base hit in three of his past four games and is starting to find his power. He should be excited to see that he is facing Bailey Ober today. Ober has been dreadful through his first two starts this season. In his first start, he made it just 2.2 innings and gave up eight runs. Last time out, he only gave up one run but survived only four innings. Witt should keep up his positive momentum against a pitcher who is really struggling and drive in a run for the Royals.

Bailey Ober Less Than 4.5 Strikeouts Thrown
Bailey Ober has had a horrible start to the 2025 season. Through two starts, he has a 12.15 ERA and has given up three home runs. This is a problem that has carried over from last season, where he gave up nine home runs in his final eight starts of the 2024 season. Ober also has a bad history against this Royals team. There are six players on this Royals team who have hit a home run off of Ober in the past. Kansas City should be able to get their offense going against Ober early and often, forcing him out of the game early. That should keep Ober under 4.5 strikeouts.
