The Florida Gators won the 2024-25 college basketball national championship. However, eyes are already turning to next season to see who the top teams will be in the 2025-26 season.
Here is a look at the early odds to win the 2026 NCAA Tournament at DraftKings Sportsbook.
2026 March Madness Odds

Cooper Flagg and Duke came up just short in the Final Four. Although Duke is likely going to lose Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel, and Khaman Maluach, they are the favorites to take it home in 2026. The Boozer twins, Duke legend Carlos Boozer’s two sons, are headed to Durham, along with some other top recruits. With that group of freshmen and their returning players from this Final Four team, they should be one of the best teams in the country again. After falling just shy in the national title game in 2025, Houston has the second-best odds to cut down the nets in 2026. They also have some exciting young freshmen coming in, and they’re returning some key players from last year’s national runner-up team.
After those top two teams, oddsmakers expect UConn to bounce back. The Huskies had a disappointing season after winning the two previous national titles, but they are reloading and should have a great team next season. The first surprising team on the list to many fans is BYU at +1500. The Cougars made the Sweet 16 in Kevin Young’s first season, and next year, they will have the top-ranked freshman in the country, A.J. Dybantsa. With arguably the best freshman in the country and an experienced team that just made a Sweet 16, they could be dangerous in March next season. Other perennial contenders like Purdue, Arkansas, and Kansas round out the teams with odds of 20/1 or better.
The defending national champions, the Florida Gators, are all the way down the list at 25/1. They will be losing their superstar, Walter Clayton Jr., along with several other key figures. Their best incoming freshman is all the way down at 26th in the recruit rankings for this class. It will be tough for Florida to get back to the top of the mountain. The final team from the 2025 Final Four, Auburn, also sits at 25/1. The SEC will be ultra-competitive against next season, and Auburn will be without Johni Broome. Every team has odds of at least 10/1, so this is a great time to place a future bet on a team that you think can win it all next season.
