Alperen Sengun Status Update: Friday 4/11/25 vs. Lakers

UPDATE: Like so many teams tonight, the Rockets have decided to rest everyone on Friday. That includes Alperen Sengun, Fred VanVleet, Dillon Brooks, Amen Thompson, Jabari Smith Jr. and Tari Eason.

Alperen Sengun ($9,000) and Fred VanVleet ($6,500) both sat out Wednesday’s game. Sengun with a back issue and VanVleet with an ankle injury. Both are questionable for Friday’s contest against the Los Angeles Lakers.

With two regular season games left and the Rockets locked into the number two seed in the Western Conference, there is little motivation for Sengun or VanVleet to play.

On Wednesday, Jock Landale ($3,900) got the start for Sengun and produced 32.25 FPTS in 34 minutes of action. Steven Adams ($3,600) was a DNP.

Reed Sheppard ($4,200) got the start for VanVleet and finished with 37.25 FPTS in 37 minutes. Sheppard garnered a 22% usage rate.

Stan joined DraftKings in December of 2020. It was a glorious time, except for that whole COVID thing, when we got Madden streams and boisterous bat flips from the KBO. I was brought on board to bring some West Coast flavor. I especially love hoops, and most of my content is in that arena. When I walk along the beach, strumming my guitar, the beat that I hear is not one of crashing waves. No, it is the beat of the ball bouncing off the hardwood with highs provided by the squeaks of the sneakers. Ball is life.
