A majority of today’s baseball games are taking place in the afternoon, but we still have a five-game evening MLB slate on DraftKings.
A smaller slate usually means a more difficult time finding value. Allow me to help. Here are my top three bargain picks for tonight’s action on the diamond.

SP Ryan Pepiot, Tampa Bay Rays vs. Los Angeles Angels, $7,900
After posting a 3.60 ERA and a 3.62 xERA across 130.0 innings in 2024, Pepiot has started 2025 pretty well for the Rays. The right-hander has allowed just three earned runs in his 11.0 innings of work, while he’s also managed 11 strikeouts. Has the level of competition been amazing? Not so much, as Pepiot’s drawn the Rockies away from Coors and the Pirates, but you can only pitch to who is in front of you, right? It’s also not like the Angels present some massive leap in matchup difficulty on Wednesday night.
Though Mike Trout ($5,500), Logan O’Hoppe ($4,300) and Kyren Paris ($2,800) have been swinging it well — the latter hot bat certainly feels unsustainable — the Angels come into this tilt with Tampa Bay in possession of underwhelming marks in batting average (.228) and wRC+ (97). On a slate lacking elite starting options outside of Joe Ryan ($9,500), Pepiot feels like your next best option.
2B Kyle Farmer, Colorado Rockies vs. Milwaukee Brewers, $3,200
It’s been a nice start to the season for Farmer, who is only getting this much playing time due to a Spring Training injury to Thairo Estrada (wrist). Still, the veteran utility man is making the most of his opportunity, slashing .320/.357/.440 with a .359 expected wOBA across his 28 plate appearances in 2025. In an ideal world, Farmer likely isn’t a full-time option at second base, yet he has always been a fantastic platoon bat. To wit, in 677 career PAs within the split, Farmer is hitting .287 with an .818 OPS and a 122 wRC+ against LHPs. At Coors in a matchup with Tyler Alexander ($6,000), Farmer might just be one of the top dollar-for-dollar assets on this whole slate.
OF Michael Harris II, Atlanta Braves vs. Philadelphia Phillies, $3,800
I’ll admit that there were some promising signs from Taijuan Walker ($7,500) in his first start of 2025 — namely a slight tick up in the veteran RHP’s fastball velocity. Still, it’s going to take more than one start against the Rockies on the road to make me a believer. Walker is still the guy who allowed 2.58 opponent home runs per nine last season. Walker is still the guy who posted a 7.10 ERA and a 7.09 xERA across 83.2 innings. Harris has gotten off to a slow start this season, yet a matchup with Walker might be just what the doctor ordered. In five career at-bats versus Walker, Harris has four hits with a pair of long balls. Add in the fact that he’s a leadoff hitter with a price tag below $4,000, and Harris has quite the case for viability.
