The Knicks are two-point favorites against the Celtics, with an o/u of 221.5 on DraftKings Sportsbook. Here are the latest lines for Towns on DraftKings Sportsbook: o/u 24.5 points, 2.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 2.5 three-pointers.

The Knicks and Celtics will face off for the final time in the regular season on Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden. However, there could be many more matchups ahead for them this postseason. Boston is currently slated to be the two-seed in the Eastern Conference and it sits four games behind the top-seeded Cavaliers with four games to play, so it is likely going to remain in that spot. Meanwhile, the Knicks are the projected three-seed and they lead the Pacers by three games with four to play, so they are most likely going to be the three-seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. That would set up an Eastern Conference semifinals between the Celtics and Knicks if they both win their first-round matchups. That is good news for Boston, which has dominated the Knicks this regular season. It is 3-0 in its head-to-head matchups, winning those three games by an average margin of over 20 points per game.

Despite their seeding being nearly finalized, this is a very important game for the Knicks on two levels. Firstly, this is just their second game with Jalen Brunson back in the lineup after he missed a month with an ankle injury. New York only has four more games to get back into a rhythm as a full team before the games really matter in the postseason. It secured a big win over the Suns in Brunson’s first game back and it will want to build on that tonight. Also, this is the Knicks’ final chance to figure out ways that they can beat the Celtics. They have been completely outclassed by Boston in all three previous regular-season matchups. If they want to compete with them in a postseason series, this is the last game to figure out some new forms of attack that they could use against Boston in a seven-game series. A win would give the Knicks a boatload of confidence heading into the postseason.

Karl-Anthony Towns will need to play a pivotal role if the Knicks are to overcome the Celtics. Towns is averaging just 15 points per game in the three games against Boston. He has been completely shut down from an offensive perspective, and he has been a defensive liability. The Celtics have gotten Towns into switches against players that he can’t guard on the perimeter and gotten easy shots that way. Coach Tom Thibodeau will need to use Towns correctly, rotating him with Mitchell Robinson to get the most out of him. Towns could see fewer minutes in this game as the Knicks experiment with different lineups to match up with the Celtics. Karl-Anthony Towns has only had one assist in his last two games against the Celtics. Towns has only had more than 2.5 assists in one of his past five games overall. He should stay under that number in this matchup against Boston.

Best Bet: Karl-Anthony Towns u2.5 Assists (-154)
