The time has finally come for our first major of the season, the Masters. The world-famous Augusta National Golf Club (par 72, 7,555 yards, bentgrass greens) in Augusta, Georgia, has been the home of the Masters since its inception in 1934. Last year, Scottie Scheffler (-11) won by four strokes, marking his second Masters victory. This week’s field consists of 95 golfers and the Masters features a limited cut, with the top-50 and ties advancing after the first two rounds.
The legendary Augusta National is a long, tree-lined course that features wide fairways, lightning fast greens, 44 bunkers and water in play on four holes. While we have seen both short and long hitters win at this par 72 in the past, being a strong driver has been a clear advantage at Augusta National the last few years, with three of the last five Masters champions finishing the event runner-up or leading their field in SG OTT. The greens at Augusta National are some of the quickest and most difficult putting surfaces in the world. Putting is so challenging at this course that putting stats aren’t overly important for research, as we have seen many lackluster putters win at Augusta National in the past. Given how difficult these greens are to stick consistently, not only do we need to target players in compelling form with their irons, but we also need to seek golfers who are crafty around the putting surfaces, as missing these greens often is inevitable. Of the last four Masters winners, three have finished the major top-eight in both SG APP and SG ARG.
Augusta National is a traditional par 72 that features 10 par fours, four par threes and four par fives. Like most par 72s, the par fives at Augusta National are the best scoring opportunities at the venue and capitalizing on these holes is vital for success at this challenging track. For three years in a row, the Masters victor has finished the week runner-up in par five efficiency. Lastly, with five of the par fours ranging from 450-500 yards, this is an important length of hole to focus on this week. Of the last five Masters champions, three have finished the major top-five in efficiency on the 450-500-yard par fours of Augusta National.

Daniel Berger ($7,100) – After a back injury limited Berger for many years, he is finally healthy again and having a great season on the PGA TOUR. Berger has made 7-of-9 cuts this season and seven of these finishes have been top-30 results, including a runner-up at the WM Phoenix Open in February. The four-time PGA TOUR winner is coming off a T-30 at the Valero Texas Open last week and Berger was notably one of only six players to gain strokes in every major category at TPC San Antonio.
This season, Berger ranks top-50 in every major strokes gained category and his driver has been his best club, with Berger ranking sixth in total driving. The 32-year-old’s game is firing on all cylinders and Berger is a terrific target at only $7,100, which is the cheapest he has been on DraftKings since last July. At Augusta National, Berger has made 4-of-5 cuts, including three finishes of T-32 or better.
Sergio Garcia ($7,100) – Garcia has been playing outstanding golf on the LIV Golf league this season. In five starts on the circuit, the Spaniard has finished inside the top-six three times, including a three-shot win at LIV Hong Kong in March and a T-3 at LIV Miami just last week. For the season, Garcia ranks second in points and top-10 in birdies, driving accuracy, greens in regulation and scrambling. Notably, the 45-year-old has collectively gained strokes on APP and OTT at four events in a row.
Garcia will now look to carry this momentum over to Augusta National, where he won in 2017. Garcia has a long history at the Masters, making 17-of-25 cuts with eight top-30 finishes, and he should add another quality finish to his resume at the major this weekend. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Garcia carries +6500 odds to win the Masters, which are outstanding relative to his salary. For some perspective, these are the same odds as Will Zalatoris, who costs $8,300 for DFS.
Keegan Bradley ($7,000) – Bradley has been very consistent at Augusta National. The former FedEx Cup champion has only missed one cut in eight starts at the Masters, including four top-30 finishes. Bradley has finished T-23 and T-22 in his last two starts at Augusta National, and he returns to the illustrious venue in the midst of another excellent season. Bradley has yet to miss a cut in eight starts this season and he has finished inside the top-25 five times, most notably with a T-5 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March, which is a Signature Event that hosts all the PGA TOUR’s best players.
Bradley ranks top-30 in SGT2G, SG OTT and SG APP this season, and he is an elite value play at only $7,000, which is easily a season-low for the veteran. At THE PLAYERS Championship in his second-to-last start, which features a major-like field competing for the largest purse of the season, Bradley was priced up to $7,700 on DraftKings.
J.T. Poston ($6,500) – Poston has finished T-34 and T-30 at the last two Masters, and he has been very reliable recently, missing only one cut in his last 13 starts. During this span, Poston has finished T-33 or better nine times, including a win at the Shriners Children’s Open in November and a T-26 at the Valero Texas Open last week.
Poston has gained strokes on approach in 7-of-9 starts in 2025 and he ranks seventh in par five performance this season. Poston absolutely should have been priced in the $7K range this week and he is a steal at only $6,500.
