UPDATE: Adebayo has been ruled out on Monday.
Adebayo ($9,200) has been downgraded to questionable with a back injury ahead of Monday’s matchup with the 76ers. Also, Tyler Herro ($9,000, thigh), Andrew Wiggins ($6,900, hamstring), Alec Burks ($4,200, back) and Haywood Highsmith ($3,800, Achilles) all remain questionable for the Heat.
Miami has lost two in a row and they are currently the tenth seed in the Eastern Conference, but the Heat still have a chance to finish as high as the eight seed with only four games remaining in the regular season. For Miami, getting a win tonight against the 76ers is essential if they don’t want to finish as the last seed for the Play-In Tournament.
This season, Adebayo is averaging 18.0 points, 9.6 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game with a 23.6% usage rate. The center has only missed two games this season and if Adebayo is inactive, Kyle Anderson ($3,700) would be the top candidate to enter the Heat’s starting lineup and Kel’el Ware ($6,000) would operate as Miami’s primary big man, making him an elite DFS target against this Philadelphia defense that ranks dead last in rating since the All-Star break. Both Adebayo and Herro are questionable, and if one is active without the other, that active player will see a larger usage rate than usual and be a terrific DFS option as well.
The 76ers are tanking as the season comes to a close and they have lost 11 straight games. Given this, the Heat are a 13-point favorite over Philadelphia on DraftKings Sportsbook.
