Best Jayson Tatum prop bets for Celtics vs. Suns: Friday 4/4/25

The Celtics are essentially locked into the second seed barring a late-season collapse from the Cavaliers. The defending champions are cruising to the postseason with sights on a second straight title and the franchise’s 19th overall.

Tonight’s matchup is against the Suns, who are fighting to make the play-in tournament. Phoenix is the 11th seed in the Western Conference, sitting one game behind Sacramento for the 10th spot. Every game is a must-win, but the Suns will have to do so without Kevin Durant, who is out with an ankle injury.

The Celtics are 14-point favorites at home, and the game total is set at 226 points on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Below, I have featured my favorite Jayson Tatum prop bets to consider from this contest.

Best Jayson Tatum Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Jayson Tatum over 7.5 rebounds (-115)

Tatum can often be unpredictable on a night-to-night basis when it comes to his prop bets. Sometimes he’s a volume scorer, while other times he’s the primary playmaker.

What’s been steady in a majority of his games, however, has been his rebounding presence. Tatum is the Celtics’ power forward and leads the team with 8.7 rebounds per game. He’s grabbed as many as 16 in a game and has 26 games of double-digit boards this season.

Tonight’s matchup with the Suns is a great opportunity for Tatum to hit the over on his 7.5 rebounds line. Phoenix has a small lineup, especially without Durant. Nick Richards is the starting center with Oso Ighodaro off the bench. Ryan Dunn, 6’8, is the only other player taller than 6’7, but he’s not an overly impressive rebounder.

Tatum should have a field day against a smaller Suns squad that averages the sixth fewest rebounds per game in the NBA. This will be the second time these teams face each other this season, but Tatum did not play in the first round.

In addition to Phoenix’s small lineup, Tatum is coming off a three-rebound performance in a 21-point loss to the Heat. It’s unlikely that the Celtics’ star has back-to-back poor performances, and tonight is a great matchup.

Given Tatum’s average and the Suns’ interior weakness, this should be an easy over for Tatum to hit.
