PGA TOUR Golf Best Bets: 2025 Masters winner picks and odds

Updated:

By: Alex Hunter

On April 10, we finally head to Augusta National (par 72, 7,555 yards, bentgrass greens) for our first major of the season, the Masters. There will be 97 golfers competing at this major championship and, after the first two rounds, there will a limited cut with the top 50 and ties advancing.

Below, I have featured some my favorite outright bets to consider for the Masters Tournament.

Xander Schauffele (+1800)

Schauffele started this season late due to a rib injury and, after looking rusty in his first two starts, Schauffele came alive at the Valspar Championship. The two-time major champion finished T12 and had a ball striking performance for the ages, gaining an eye-popping 11.2 strokes on approach at the Copperhead Course. This number set a career-high for Schauffele and was the highest in the field at the Valspar by a mile, with Bud Cauley ranking second at 8.1.

Schauffele will now look to carry this momentum over to Augusta National, where he has nearly won multiple times. In seven starts at the famous venue, Schauffele has carded four top 10 finishes, including a runner-up in 2019 and a T3 in 2021. The 31-year-old is notorious for playing his best golf at major championships and Schauffele is a very intriguing early bet at this +1800 number, as these odds are likely to shorten as the event gets closer.

Will Zalatoris (+4500)

Zalatoris has been tremendous at Augusta National so far in his career, finishing runner-up, T6 and T9 at the par 72. Among the players in this field that have competed at Augusta National more than once, Zalatoris ranks second in strokes gained per round, only trailing two-time Masters champion Scottie Scheffler. This season, Zalatoris has yet contend, but his game has been rock solid and he is due for a breakout performance.

In seven starts, Zalatoris has yet to miss a cut and he has carded five top 25 finishes. His irons have been terrific, ranking 18th in SG APP for the season, and he travels to Augusta National gaining strokes on approach at six consecutive events. A win for Zalatoris is coming soon and he needs to be attacked this +4500 number in his return to the Masters.

Russell Henley (+5500)

These are odds are way too long for Henley. The 35-year-old has been one of the best players in the world with four top 10 finishes in just seven starts this season. Henley recently picked up the fifth PGA TOUR win of his career at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last month, which was a Signature Event that featured all of the PGA TOUR’s best players. Henley has always been one of the best irons players on the PGA TOUR, but this season, he has been an elite putter as well, which has been the key to him playing the best golf of his career.

Henley ranks top 30 in both SG APP and SGP this season, and he currently sits at a career-best No. 7 in the World Golf Rankings, after beginning the season at No. 17. Henley has finished inside the top 15 in three of his last five starts at Augusta National — highlighted by a T4 two years ago — and this feels like the perfect time for him to secure the first major victory of his career.
