The Lakers are hosting the Warriors on Thursday. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Los Angeles is favored by one-point and this game carries a total of 229.5 points.

LeBron James Under 24.5 Points (-120)

James has been a shell of himself since returning from a seven-game absence due to a strained groin. In his first six starts since returning, James is averaging just 18.7 PPG, while shooting 43% from the field and a dreadful 22% from beyond the arc. During this span, James has only exceed 24.5 points once, and he is handling a 25% usage rate, which is notably lower than his season average of 29.3%.

On top of his recent struggles, James is facing an elite Warriors defense Thursday, that ranks second in rating since the All-Star break. Golden State is giving up the seventh-fewest points in the paint during this time, which is bad news for James, as nearly half his points have come in the painted area this season.

This 24.5-point line is simply too high for James in this spot and backing him for this under is a smart move.
