After a great afternoon of baseball, Major League Baseball keeps the party at the parks going into the evening with four more games on a very juicy night slate. The four-game slate gets going at 6:35 p.m. ET with an AL East matchup in Baltimore, so be sure to get your lineups locked in early. Let’s take a look at the eight teams in the second game of today’s DFS fantasy baseball doubleheader and examine my top three MLB stacks.
It’s a big night for pitching with seven of the eight teams sending their Opening Day starter back to the mound for their second start of the season (not counting the Tokyo series for the Dodgers). While that means some lineups will be in very tough matchups, there are still some MLB stacks that make sense. Finding the right team for MLB Stacks is a lot about targeting favorable starting pitching matchups while also considering the current form of the lineup. Let’s jump right in and find the best MLB stacks for Wednesday night’s slate.

1. New York Yankees
Aaron Judge ($6,300)

The Yankees and their torpedo bats are back in action against the Dbacks on Wednesday night, but this stack is more about the matchup against Zac Gallen ($7,800) than any change in the Bronx Bombers’ equipment. Gallen gave up four hits and four runs in four innings in his season debut while also issuing four walks. He looked fine in spring training but only threw 9 1/3 innings. Maybe it was just rust or just nerves, but missing your spot against the Yankees’ lineup can result in things unraveling quickly–just ask the Brewers.
While the Yankees were held in check on Tuesday in the series opener, they still have 18 home runs on the season. Judge leads the way with four long balls to go with his 6-for-15 (.400) start to the season with an amazing .717 wOBA. Chisholm has also been excellent, hitting .313 (5-for-16) with his three home runs. Rice is a surprisingly affordable way to get in on the stack after going 5-for-10 (.500) with two homers and a .715 wOBA. The 26-year-old raked in spring training with five home runs in 20 games, and he has shown no signs of slowing down now that the games actually count.
2. Los Angeles Dodgers

The undefeated Dodgers are the only team on the slate not facing an Opening Day starter as they go up against Bryce Elder ($5,000). Elder will be replacing Reynaldo Lopez (shoulder), who landed on the 15-day IL. Elder was an All-Star back in 2023 but posted a 6.52 ERA and 1.63 WHIP across 49 2/3 MLB innings last year. He also had a rough spring training, giving up seven runs on 14 hits across 12 2/3 innings. In his one game for the Triple-A Gwinnett Stripers, Elder gave up five runs in just 2 2/3 innings with five walks and seven strikeouts.
Since Elder is a righty, there’s no need to avoid the lefties in the L.A. lineup, so starting your stack with Shohei and Betts makes lots of sense. Ohtani is hitting .280 through his first seven games with two home runs and 10 runs scored along with a pair of stolen bases. Betts and Edman are tied for the team lead with three home runs and Betts is hitting a healthy .375 (6-for-16). Smith leads the team in batting average, though, after starting the year 8-for-17 (.471), averaging 10.0 fantasy points per game.
3. Boston Red Sox

Kristian Campbell ($3,500)
The Red Sox locked up Campbell to a long-term deal earlier in the day on Wednesday, according to a report from ESPN’s Jeff Passan, and now they’ll look to turn the front office wins of extensions to him and Garrett Crochet ($8,500) into actual wins on the field. They’ll face Orioles Opening Day starter Zach Eflin ($7,000), but Eflin typically pitches to a lot of contact. He posted a 5.40 ERA and 1.54 WHIP with nine strikeouts over 11.2 innings during spring training and looked OK against the Blue Jays in the opener, even though he only had two strikeouts.
I left Rafael Devers ($5,000) out of this MLB Stacks party for now, but there are still plenty of strong options to check out. Abreu has been the Red Sox’ best hitter this season, going 7-for-11 (.636) with two doubles, two home runs and an average of 15.2 fantasy points per game. He’s also 5-for-10 with a double and a home run against Eflin in their past meetings. Duran has started the season 6-for-21 (.286) with a stolen base, while Campbell is a great value after going 6-for-16 (.375) with two doubles and a home run to average 9.8 fantasy points per game.
