After missing Tuesday’s win over the 76ers with a knee injury, Karl-Anthony Towns ($10,400) has been listed as probable for Wednesday’s matchup with the Cavaliers. However, the Knicks will be without Jalen Brunson (ankle), Miles McBride (groin), Cameron Payne (ankle) and Mitchell Robinson (injury recovery).
Towns has had a great first season with the Knicks, averaging 24.3 points and a career-high 12.8 rebounds per game, but he has looked sluggish recently, scoring only 14 and 10 points in his last two starts, respectively. Tuesday was a much needed rest day for Towns and, hopefully, he looks more like himself in his return Wednesday.
Towns is handling a 27.2% usage rate this season and, while his presence is going to take some opportunities away from the other Knicks’ starters, Josh Hart ($8,400), OG Anunoby ($7,400) and Mikal Bridges ($7,200) will all continue to handle huge roles with Brunson, McBride, Payne and Robinson sidelined.
While the Knicks have won three in a row, they are 10.5-point underdogs vs. the Cavaliers on DraftKings Sportsbook. This season, New York is 0-2 vs. Cleveland and 5-7 on the second night of back-to-back sets.
