The PGA TOUR is hosting the Valero Texas Open at the Oaks Course of TPC San Antonio (par 72, 7,438 yards, POA Trivialis greens) this week, which is the final event before the Masters. TPC San Antonio has hosted every Valero Texas Open since 2010 and, for this week, there will be 150 golfers competing with a standard top-65 and ties cut after the first two rounds.
Below, I have featured some finishing position bets to consider for the Valero Texas Open.
Keith Mitchell for a Top 30 finish (+120)
Mitchell is coming off his best performance of the season, finishing T18 at the Texas Children’s Houston Open last week. Aside from around the green, Mitchell gained strokes in every major category at Memorial Park and he has now finished inside the top 30 in four of his eight starts this season. Mitchell’s best club has always been his driver and this season has been no exception, with him ranking fifth in SG OTT. With TPC San Antonio being a long track that features thin rough, this is a driver-heavy course and Mitchell’s elite work OTT has translated into plenty of success for him at TPC San Antonio.
The bomber has finished T26, T17 and T14 in his three starts at the par 72 and he has shot under par in eight of these 12 rounds. Mitchell owns a 19th place career average finish at TPC San Antonio, which ranks third among the players in this week’s field that have competed at the course more than once. At this +120 price, Mitchell is a stellar bet for a top 30 finish.
Sami Valiamki for a Top 40 finish (+150)
While this will be Valimaki’s debut at TPC San Antonio, we just saw him flourish in his first attempt at another Texas course last week. In his debut at Memorial Park for Texas Children’s Houston Open, Valimaki finished T4, including a six-under 64 on Saturday and then an eight-under 62 on Sunday. That latter score tied the course record at Memorial Park and Valimaki gained strokes in every major category for the week.
This marked the second start in a row that Valimaki has gained strokes with both his irons and putter, and for the season, he notably ranks 16th in both SG APP and SGP. Valimaki has finished inside the top 40 in four of his eight starts in 2025 and backing him for another top 40 finish at these +150 odds is a no-brainer this week.
