Just days into the 2025 MLB season, one thing remains certain: Aaron Judge is baseball’s best hitter.
The two-time MVP wasted no time getting up to speed this weekend, decimating a mediocre Brewers’ pitching staff. Over three games, #99 recorded a .545 batting average along with a league-leading four home runs and 11 RBIs. Historically a poor hitter in April, Judge’s fast start should have the rest of baseball worried.
Tonight, the Diamondbacks will visit New York as slight favorites (-118), with the over/under set at 8.5 runs. Before the start of Tuesday’s inter-league showdown, here’s my favorite Aaron Judge player prop bet on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Aaron Judge U 1.5 hits + runs + RBIs (-105)
As previously mentioned, Judge is the game’s greatest hitter. Although names such as Shohei Ohtani and Bobby Witt have an argument, nobody rakes like the six-time All-Star. Since 2022, the outfielder leads baseball in home runs (160), RBIs (361), OPS (1.117) and on-base percentage (.434). On their own, those numbers are good enough to guarantee an above-average New York offense.
Hitting in the heart of a stacked Yankees lineup, Judge is always a threat to produce. However, it might not be so easy for New York’s face of the franchise tonight. The Diamondbacks and newly acquired starter Corbin Burnes will visit the Bronx on Tuesday. Over 19.0 career innings vs. the Yankees, the former Cy Young winner has allowed just three runs. In eight at-bats vs. the right-hander, Judge has gone 0-7 with one walk.
It’s difficult to fade a generational talent in the midst of a hot streak. However, it’s wishful thinking to assume anyone, even Judge, can keep up this torrid pace. At nearly even money, going under on hits + runs + RBIs makes plenty of sense. The bet allows for some wiggle room if Judge gets on base or drives in a run. If New York’s superstar going to have a letdown game, it would come against one of baseball’s best pitchers.
