Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Best Prop Bets for Blue Jays vs. Nationals 3/31/25

It’s been an interesting couple of months for Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and the Blue Jays, who failed to come to an agreement on a long-term contract before the start of the regular season. Still, while Guerrero’s name has mostly been in the news for monetary reasons, the All-Star remains one of the best and most popular players in MLB.

Here’s my best Guerrero Jr. prop bet for Monday night’s matchup with the Nationals.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 3+ Total Bases (+200)

While his surface stats don’t really show it, Guerrero Jr. mashed the baseball all weekend long against the Orioles. Across 18 plate appearances, the former No. 1 prospect managed an average exit velocity of 103.3 mph, which translated to an eye-popping .521 expected wOBA on batted ball events. Guerrero Jr. has always hit the ball hard, but this was something special.

The concept of “being due” is a time-honored tradition in baseball that can’t really be quantified, though expected stats do make that task a little easier in 2025. Needless to say, Guerrero Jr. is due for a couple extra-base knocks.

He’ll have a chance to collect said hits on Monday versus Mike Soroka and the Nationals. The veteran RHP found a little success in moving to the bullpen in 2024, yet Soroka is being asked to start once again in Washington, despite a pretty underwhelming Spring Training. In the last 15 starts that Soroka has made at the MLB level, opponents are slashing .264/.356/.528 with a gargantuan .377 wOBA. Knowing all that, it’s not difficult to see why Guerrero and the Jays sport one of tonight’s highest implied team totals.
