NBA Best Bets: Suns vs. Timberwolves Best Prop Bets for Friday 3/28/25

The NBA TV spotlight matchup on Friday night features the Suns and the Timberwolves in Minnesota. Both teams are battling for playoff positions in the Western Conference. The Suns currently sit No. 11 in the conference just 0.5 games behind the Mavs for the final spot in the Play-In Tournament. The Timberwolves are just a few games ahead of them and currently in the No. 8 spot. They’re within a game of moving up to the No. 6 spot, though, and avoiding the Play-In Tournament and a more difficult first-round matchup. It should be an exciting playoff atmosphere at the Target Center, so let’s take a look at my top three Suns vs. Timberwolves player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Overall, the Timberwolves are 7.5-point home favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook with the total set at O/U 224.5 points. Bradley Beal (hamstring) is out for the Suns, but the rest of both teams’ rotations should be healthy and ready to go for this matchup.

Best Suns vs. Timberwolves Player Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

Rudy Gobert to record a double-double (+115)

Gobert has posted back-to-back double-doubles in his last two games, finishing with 16 points and 16 boards on Monday against the Pacers after totaling 15 points and 11 rebounds against the Pelicans last Friday. In the previous game, he fell just one rebound short of a double-double with 10 points and nine boards in the first game against New Orleans.

He has four double-doubles in his seven games since returning from a back issue. Not only was his near-miss against the Pelicans in that stretch, in another one of those games, he was ejected after 22 minutes.

The Suns have been a good matchup to post a double-double against lately. They allowed Al Horford to post a double-double with rebounds on Wednesday and have given up four double-doubles to opposing big men in their last three games. Adding Ryan Dunn to the lineup has helped their defense overall, but opposing big men are still feasting.

Ryan Dunn over 1.5 three-pointers (+120)

Speaking of Dunn’s impact on the lineup, the rookie has made two or more three-pointers in seven straight games since returning to the starting five. In those seven games, he has produced 12.9 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.1 three-pointers per contest.

On the season, he is averaging just 1.0 three-pointers per game, but with his recent involvement and consistent improvement, this is a nice plus-money play to target against the Timberwolves.

Dunn didn’t play very much in either of the teams’ earlier meetings this season, so it’s hard to know exactly how his involvement will impact the matchup.

Devin Booker under 25.5 points (-110)

Booker is coming into this matchup after posting three straight triple-doubles. While his assist numbers have been excellent, his scoring has dropped to under this total in each of those games while he shot a combined 2-for-15 (13%) on three-pointers and 18-for-48 (37.5%) from the field. The boosted assists have helped him stay productive for fantasy, but he has been deffering to Kevin Durant and the rest of the Suns more on offense.

Booker has the potential to get hot and go over this number in any game, but he has been under it in six of his last eight and 10 of his last 14 contests. That span also includes the last time these two teams met, and Booker had just 17 points.

The Timberwolves have been a tough matchup for opposing point guards this season, allowing the fifth-fewest fantasy points to the position. They should be able to keep Booker in check in this matchup, even if Durant and Dunn and the rest of the lineup do enough to keep the game competitive.
