UPDATE: Curry is available to play Friday.

Stephen Curry missed the last two games due to a pelvis injury. While he’s officially designated as questionable for Friday’s contest against the New Orleans Pelicans, there’s a good chance he returns to action as Curry practiced on Thursday and head coach Steve Kerr was optimistic.

Gary Payton II and Quinten Post started the last two games in place of Curry. Payton suffered a torn ligament in his shooting hand and is out for at least a week. Post will return to a reserve role.

Golden State lost the last two games without Curry, so his 24.2 points, 4.4 treys, 4.4 rebounds, 6.0 assists and 1.1 steals will be welcomed back with open arms. The Warriors are currently tied for sixth in the Western Conference with a 41-31 record. They are only three games back of the four seed and 6.5 games in front of the 10 seed.

Over the last 10 games, New Orleans has been dead last in defensive rating while playing at the 15th-fastest pace.

Stan joined DraftKings in December of 2020. It was a glorious time, except for that whole COVID thing, when we got Madden streams and boisterous bat flips from the KBO. I was brought on board to bring some West Coast flavor. I especially love hoops, and most of my content is in that arena. When I walk along the beach, strumming my guitar, the beat that I hear is not one of crashing waves. No, it is the beat of the ball bouncing off the hardwood with highs provided by the squeaks of the sneakers. Ball is life.
