This will be James’ third game back after missing seven in a row with a strained groin and James has been rusty with outside his shot since returning, only going 1-for-5 on three pointers. The 44-year-old is shooting an ugly 33% from beyond the arc since the All-Star break and James has only hit multiple three pointers in five of his 12 starts during this time.

This matchup vs. the Pacers also isn’t an ideal spot for James to regain his long-range shooting form. Indiana prioritizes defending the perimeter and since the All-Star break, the Pacers are limiting their opponents to the fewest made three pointers and the lowest three point percentage in the NBA.
