A six-game NBA slate on a Wednesday feels a little weird, but those are the cards we’ve been dealt this week. It’s also hard to fret about volume this late into March. At least four teams taking the court tonight are actively taking, so value shouldn’t be all that difficult to find — even with a smaller schedule.

PF/C Jonathan Mogbo, Toronto Raptors at Brooklyn Nets, $4,200
The Raptors have a pretty set-in-stone tanking strategy. It’s almost like a buddy system. Jakob Poeltl (rest) and Immanuel Quickley (rest) take a seat one game, then RJ Barrett ($7,800) rests, then Poeltl and Quickley again, and so on and so on. Tonight is a Poeltl and Quickley night, so Toronto will be relatively shorthanded — especially at the center position, as Colin Castleton’s second 10-day contract has expired since the team last took the floor. That leaves just Mogbo and Orlando Robinson ($4,500) as bigs on Wednesday. Mogbo has exceeded 28 FPTS in each of the Raptors’ past two contests, averaging 10.5 rebounds in that span. He could very easily be asked to draw his 14th start of 2024-25 and, if that’s the case, I’m having hard time seeing how the rookie doesn’t bring back value at his modest price tag.
SF/PF Ryan Dunn, Phoenix Suns vs. Boston Celtics, $4,300
I want to be careful in promoting the viability of Dunn. It’s not a lie to say that the rookie has been one of the league’s most consistent DFS assets the past two weeks, but don’t confuse consistency with massive ceiling. Since rejoining the Suns’ starting lineup six games ago, Dunn’s scored double-digit points in every contest and has managed to exceed 27 FPTS five times. However, his max output in this run has been 35.25 FPTS — the lone time he’s gone over 30 FPTS. That’s still a perfectly acceptable level of production from a player priced like Dunn is, and his recent rebounding rates suggest there might be a little more upside in Dunn’s game, it’s simply a reminder that Dunn might be more equipped to assist you in a cash game setting that a GPP. Keep that in mind.
C DeAndre Jordan, Denver Nuggets vs. Milwaukee Bucks, $5,000
I was a little hesitant to fully endorse Jordan on Monday’s slate. I no longer have that fear. The veteran has looked phenomenal filling in for the injured Nikola Jokic ($12,500; ankle) the past two games, averaging 10.5 points, 16.0 rebounds and 41.3 FPTS. Heck, Jordan’s dished out 11 assists across these two starts. When I say he’s doing a Jokic impression, I’m not even joking that much. Anyway, Jokic is listed as doubtful on Wednesday, so it’s more than likely that Jordan will get another crack with the starting five. While his price tag is up from the absolute bare minimum, $5,000 still seems like a discount given Jordan’s recent level of production. This might be the last chance we get to ride with the 36-year-old before Jokic returns. Don’t miss it.
