Pistons -11 (-105)
The Pistons have been rolling despite missing key players, and with Cade Cunningham still questionable due to calf soreness, their depth is shining through. Detroit’s recent performance, including a 136-130 win over New Orleans without Cunningham, shows they can cover this spread. Ron Holland and Marcus Sasser stepped up without regulars, and veterans like Dennis Schroder have provided crucial leadership.
San Antonio, on the other hand, has been strong lately, winning three straight. Despite their recent form, they are still without Victor Wembanyama and De’Aaron Fox. While Devin Vassell is playing well, their lack of depth compared to Detroit could be a significant issue in this matchup. With the Pistons playing well at home and San Antonio struggling on the road, Detroit should cover the -11 spread.
Warriors -6 (-108)
Golden State comes into this matchup riding high after acquiring Jimmy Butler, who has helped elevate their performance to a 16-4 record since his arrival. However, this game is intriguing as Butler faces his former team, the Heat. Miami has struggled mightily, coming off a 10-game losing streak, and while they snapped that with a win over Charlotte, they will be facing a much stronger Golden State team. The absence of Stephen Curry could limit Golden State’s offensive firepower, but with Butler and Andrew Wiggins playing well, the Warriors have enough to cover the -6 spread.
Miami will be dealing with its own issues, especially after trading away key pieces. Even though they’ll be at home, their defense continues to falter, which could allow the Warriors to comfortably cover the spread.
Knicks -10.5 (-108)
The Knicks have been solid without Jalen Brunson, but the absence of their star player has exposed their depth. Though injuries complicate their lineup, Miles McBride and Mitchell Robinson have stepped up. The Mavericks are still adjusting after trading Luka Doncic for Anthony Davis. While Davis has been ruled out, the Mavericks have shown they can win even without their star player, though their lack of depth could be a challenge. However, P.J. Washington and Brandon Williams are both questionable. This could signal a depleted, undersized lineup as they intend to play Kessler Edwards in his final eligible game on his two-way contract in Davis’ absence.
New York enters this game after a dominant 122-103 win over the Wizards and will be looking to bounce back from their recent injuries and inconsistencies. With the Knicks still fighting for playoff positioning, they should be able to cover the -10.5 spread against a depleted Dallas team.
Magic -5.5 (-110)
The Magic have trended upward with a solid run of form, including a victory over the Lakers, where Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner played key roles. Orlando sits in eighth place in the East and will look to maintain that position by beating one of the league’s bottom dwellers, the Charlotte Hornets. The Hornets have struggled this season and have already been eliminated from playoff contention.
Orlando will need to improve its road form, but with players like Banchero on a hot streak, the Magic should have no trouble covering the -5.5 spread against Charlotte. The Hornets’ defense has been porous, making this an ideal spot for Orlando to capitalize and cover the spread.
Naji Marshall Over 24.5 Points + Rebounds (-120)
Naji Marshall has been putting up impressive numbers in the absence of Kyrie Irving. Since the All-Star break, he’s averaged 22.6 points and 8.2 rebounds per game without Irving. With the Mavericks still dealing with multiple injuries, Marshall’s role in the offense will only increase. Even though the Mavericks are on the road against a tough New York team, Marshall has the potential to surpass the 24.5 points + rebounds line, especially with his increased usage.
Given his ability to fill the stat sheet, Marshall is a solid bet to exceed this number, especially as the Mavericks trudge forward short-handed.
