Anthony Davis Injury Update: Tuesday 3/25/25 vs. the Knicks

Updated:

By: Alex Hunter

After making his return from an 18-game absence Monday due to an adductor injury, Davis has been ruled out for Tuesday’s matchup vs. the Knicks, while P.J. Washington ($8,100, ankle) and Brandon Williams ($5,300, back) are questionable.

In Davis’ anticipated return Monday, which was only his second game in a Mavericks uniform since being traded to the club for Luka Doncic in early February, Davis finished with 12 points, six rebounds, three assists, one block, and one steal across 26.3 minutes in the 19-point win over the Nets.

In his 44 games between the Lakers and Mavericks this season, Davis is averaging 19 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, and two blocks per game. With Dallas currently sitting at the No.11 seed in the Western Conference and likely to miss the Play-In Tournament, Davis likely will see limited minutes for the rest of the season, and he likely won’t play in both legs of back-to-back sets.

With Davis out Tuesday, Naji Marshall ($7,900) and Spencer Dinwiddie ($6,600) should see increased usage rates, which will grow even further if Washington is also inactive. Plus, Kai Jones ($5,100) should handle a larger workload in the front-court.

While the Mavericks have won both of the games Davis has played in since they acquired the Kentucky product, Dallas is 8-12 in the games Davis has missed since he joined the team. The Mavericks rank 26th in net rating this month and facing the Knicks in Madison Square Garden on Tuesday. Dallas is a 10.5-point underdog for this contest on DraftKings Sportsbook.
