Damian Lillard (calf) is out tonight and contrary to popular belief, the guard’s absence hasn’t increased Antetokounmpo’s numbers. In the seven starts the forward has made with Lillard inactive this season, Antetokounmpo is averaging 30.7 points and 5.6 assists per game, which is nearly identical to his season averages. Overall, Antetokounmpo has only gone over 38.5 PA in one of these seven games sans Lillard.

Antetokounmpo gains extra attention defensively when Lillard is absent and the guard missing also hurts Antetokounmpo in the playmaking department, as 15% of Antetokounmpo’s assists this season have gone to Lillard.

Antetokounmpo is on the road and facing the Suns tonight, who have won three games in a row as they look to improve their seed before the Play-In Tournament. Phoenix ranks seventh in defensive rating during this win streak and all of Antetokounmpo’s stats have decreased on the road this season. Most notably, he is averaging 3.5 PPG less on the road than at home. Antetokounmpo should fall short of 38.5 PA on Monday and he is a great bet for this under.
