The Minnesota Twins are dealing with multiple infield injuries to start the season, and Brooks Lee will miss the start of the season due to a back injury.
Twins roster news: Brooks Lee said he will begin the season on the 10-day IL recovering from low back tightness.

Last year, Lee hit only .221 with three homers and three stolen bases in his 50 games in the MLB after crushing the minor leagues with a .331 average and .425 wOBA.
He was scratched on Thursday with what was called back tightness, which is especially concerning for Lee and the Twins, since he missed the first two months of last season with a herniated disc.
Fantasy baseball impact
Lee and Royce Lewis (hamstring) were expected to be everyday starters for the Twins this season with Lewis at 3B and Lee at 2B. When Lewis went down, Lee was expected to move to 3B, but now Edouard Julien, Jose Miranda and Willi Castro will likely cover those two spots.
The injuries definitely hurt the team’s infield defense, and Julien and Miranda have also been inconsistent at the plate during their time in the MLB.
The Twins will hope both Royce Lewis and Brooks Lee return as quickly as possible, although neither of them have a clear timetable at this point.
