1st Points Scorer, Paolo Banchero: +450: First point scorer props are difficult to predict, of course. With how hot Banchero has been as of late, scoring 25+ points in five of the Magic’s last six games, I can see why the public is eyeing him to get the first bucket. However, when you look at history, Banchero has only gotten the first point scored in 3/36 games he’s played this season—that’s 8.3%!
1st Points Scorer, Kristaps Porzingis +425: Everyone’s forgotten about the NBA and moved on to March Madness, huh? The first five most-bet NBA player props of the day are on 1st Points Scorers, which we don’t see very often. Let’s talk the Unicorn, though. Porzingis has a way better track record of getting the first bucket, having scored first in nine of his 34 games played (26.5%)—that pick-and-pop is nasty work.
1st Points Scorer, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander +370: Let’s take a look at SGA’s track record for getting the first bucket. In his 67 games played, Gilgeous-Alexander has scored first in eight of them, which is 11.9%. For how many games he has stayed healthy for, that rate is not too shabby.
