Giddey ($8,500) has been listed as questionable for Thursday’s matchup vs. the Kings. The guard made his return from a two-game absence Wednesday due to a sprained ankle. He finished with 22 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists across 30 minutes vs. the Suns (47.75 FPTS). Given that Giddey has been dealing with the sprained ankle as of late, and the Bulls likely prefer to lose at this point of the season to improve their lottery chances, the guard sitting Thursday feels likely.
Since the All-Star break, Giddey has been awesome, averaging 25.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists in 29.3 minutes per game. The guard has seen a 24.1% usage rate during this time and if Giddey is out Thursday, Coby White ($8,200) will take over as the Bulls’ main player, making him a great DFS target. In the four starts White has made without Giddey since the All-Star break, White is averaging 26.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game (41.9 FPTS per game). Tre Jones ($6,300) and Kevin Huerter ($5,500) would also benefit from expanded roles if Giddey sits and would be great DFS options.
Chicago is 3-5 with Giddey out this season and they are 2-8 on the second night of back-to-back sets. With Giddey’s status up in the air, the Bulls are a seven-point road underdog vs. the Kings on DraftKings Sportsbook.
