Lillard has struggled by his standards since the All-Star break, averaging 22.4 points, 5.7 assists, and 4.6 rebounds per game since then. The guard has stayed under 33.5 PRA in eight of these 14 games. During this span, Lillard’s usage has been at 25.7%, which is a notable drop from the 28.3% rate he was handling before the All-Star break. Furthermore, Lillard’s assist rate has decreased from 39.1% before the All-Star break to 31.9% after the layoff.

While listed as probable, Lillard is currently dealing with a groin injury, and this is an ugly road matchup vs. the Lakers, who rank third in defensive rating since the All-Star break.

Lillard has been less productive as a scorer and facilitator on the road this season, and his numbers have also dipped when facing Western Conference opponents. Lillard has fallen short of 33.5 PRA in six of his last 10 road starts, and backing him for under this number Thursday is the right call.
