Best Karl-Anthony Towns prop bets for Knicks vs. Hornets: Thursday 3/20/25

Karl-Anthony Towns was the only starter to have a good performance last night against the Spurs. The Knicks are still without Jalen Brunson, and the struggles were evident against a San Antonio squad without Victor Wembanyama and De’Aaron Fox.

The Knicks play the second leg of a back-to-back tonight against the Hornets in Charlotte. They’ll have to bounce back in order to maintain their lead on the third seed.

It starts with Towns, who is tasked with being the team’s primary option without Brunson. He’ll need to have another strong performance, while the rest of the team steps up, too.

New York is favored by 7.5 points on the road, and the game total is set at 222 points on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Below, I have featured my favorite Towns prop bets to consider from this contest.

Karl-Anthony Towns under 11.5 rebounds (+110)

Towns has been one of the best rebounders in the NBA this season, but he’s not performing like it in recent games. The All-Star center is averaging 13 rebounds per game this season, but he’s only hit the double-digit mark twice in his past six games.

The past six games have all been without Brunson, who injured his ankle in March 6’s game against the Lakers. Miles McBride has taken over the starting point guard duties in his absence.

Towns is averaging 9.0 rebounds per game in this stretch. His decrease in rebounds should continue tonight against the Hornets. Charlotte is the seventh best rebounding team in the NBA based on per game averages.

Additionally, Mitchell Robinson is receiving more minutes as of late. The center made his season debut on Feb. 28 and has appeared in nine total games. Robinson grabbed 11 rebounds last night against the Spurs, outdoing Towns by two boards in about half as many minutes. The game before, Robinson had nine rebounds to Towns’ seven.

Robinson has been ruled out tonight, so he won’t take some of Towns’ boards, but Josh Hart should be more of a concern. Hart is one of the best rebounding guards in the NBA, averaging 9.7 rebounds per game.

In the past six games, Hart is averaging 10.7 rebounds, including a 20-board performance and two other double-digit outings. Every rebound he gets is likely one less for Towns since the two starters share the floor so often.
