MLB Future Bets are all the rage as the season approaches. Everyone is getting in their plays for who they think will win MVP, Cy Young, or how many wins a team will have in 2025. Here at DraftKings, we released the betting splits for all of those categories to give you an idea of what people are betting on. Below, we’ll show you all of these categories plus much, much more for all the MLB Futures bets you can make.

American and National League Cy Young winner splits
As you’d expect, the favorites (or close to them) are earning the most money from bettors. I’m taking the longer shots before the season begins. Are Paul Skenes and Garrett Crochet the best options to win the Cy Young in their respective leagues? Absolutely! But, throughout a 162-game season, there is likely a scenario where you’ll get them at a better number. I like Joe Ryan (+4000) in the American League and Hunter Greene (+2200) in the National League as preseason longshots.
American and National League MVP winner splits
Again, nothing WRONG with betting Witt Jr. and Ohtani to win MVP. But is +170 worth it right out of the gate? You don’t think if Ohtani hits a bit of a skid for a couple weeks you won’t get better than +170? Elly De La Cruz at +1500 is a great value, in my opinion. I also think a bounce back for Julio Rodriguez at +2000 is very enticing.
American and National League Rookie of the Year splits
This is the toughest market to figure out, particularly in the preseason. I don’t touch this market until the season is in full gear and we have an idea of what rookies are staying up with the big club and have a prominent role. Nonetheless, it’s nice to see a longer shot like Jackson Jobe (+900) getting some love atop the American League board with 19% of the handle and 17% of the bets.
MLB Division Winners splits
A couple of shockers for me looking over this list.
I was a bit surprised to see the Mets atop the board in the National League East. Sure, the addition of Juan Soto was massive but can they beat out the Braves AND Phillies in a competitive division? I expected the money to be a bit more evened out rather than the huge 54% for the Mets, especially when you consider the Mets are third in the odds in this five-team division.
The Red Sox are also getting the love over in the American League East. After bolstering up their rotation with the acquisition of Garrett Crochet and Walker Buehler and also signing Alex Bregman, the public likes them to take the East. I still don’t understand how the Yankees are the favorites after losing Gerrit Cole for the year and likely Giancarlo Stanton as well.
MLB Team To Make the Playoffs – Yes splits
This market is a bit weird to look at. Someone isn’t going out of their way to bet a team like the Braves to make the playoffs at -400. So this is not a market to gauge for that reason. The public also likes to take some longshots as well. I don’t think the majority of people think the Nationals will make the playoffs (96% handle, 62% of bets) but rather are hoping they catch lightning in a bottle in sneak into a Wild Card spot. So while it’s still a market to look at, don’t take this one to literally.
MLB World Series Winner splits
You had to know the Dodgers were going to be atop this board. They have nearly 50% of all bets before the first pitch is even thrown. Both New York teams have double-digit handle as well, but I’ll assume a good chunk of that Yankee money was before the Cole news.
