The Thunder roll into Milwaukee to take on the Bucks in the final game of the NBA Sunday schedule. It should be a great matchup between two playoff teams and could be a NBA Finals preview. DraftKings Sportsbook is adding to the festivities by offering a Star Player Boost for either Giannis Antetokounmpo or Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The offer awards a token of a 20% boost for either star player in this matchup. Let’s take a look at my top three Bucks vs. Thunder prop bets from the player prop market on DraftKings Sportsbook.
In the bigger picture, the Thunder are five-point road favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook with the total set at O/U 232.5 points. Both teams are playing for the second day in a row, so the injury reports are very important to consider. For OKC, Jalen Williams (hip) remains out along with Luguentz Dort (hip), while Aaron Wiggins (illness) is questionable and Isaiah Hartenstein (nasal fracture) is available. On the Bucks’ side, Kyle Kuzma (illness) and Jericho Sims (thumb) are questionable, while Giannis Antetokounmpo (calf) and Damian Lillard (groin) are probable.
Best Bucks vs. Thunder Player Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander over 6.5 assists (-125)
Gilgeous-Alexander has at least seven assists in eight straight appearances on the second half of a back-to-back. He has also been picking up his assist numbers recently, going over this number in five of his last seven and 10 of his last 14. Over those 14 games, SGA is averaging 7.1 assists to go with 34.4 points in 35.9 minutes per game.
He is only averaging 6.2 assists on the season and has only gone over this line in 45% of games, but I think his recent trends and especially his work on the second night of back-to-backs make this a great way to attack SGA props on Sunday. His scoring numbers seem very inflated due to his recent production, but his assist numbers are still favorable.
He had seven assists in his only game with Chet Holmgren and without Jalen Williams, and he averaged 7.6 assists in his five games without Williams this season.
Giannis Antetokounmpo over 29.5 points (-110)
If you opt to go the other way with your star player boost, my favorite Giannis prop is playing him to score at least 30 points. There are definitely ways to get more exotic with Points + Rebounds + Assists or even mix in some defensive numbers, but ultimately, I’m pretty happy to get this at -110, so let’s keep it simple.
Giannis had 34 points in 35 minutes on Saturday against the Pacers and has scored 30+ in 32 of his 55 games this season (58%). He had 30 or more in four of his last six, with one of the exceptions coming in the Bucks’ blowout win over the Lakers earlier this week when he only played 30 minutes.
Giannis had 26 points in his first meeting with the Thunder in OKC, but he is averaging 32.2 points at home compared to just 28.4 points per game on the road. He has at least 30 points in four of his last five home games with the one exception coming in limited minutes against the Lakers.
Gary Trent Jr. over 9.5 points (-130)
I played Trent to have double-digit points on Saturday, and he delivered 13 against the Pacers. He has gone over this line in five of his last seven games and in 36 of his 60 games this season (60%).
Trent could get more work if Kuzma is out or even active but less than 100%. He has hit multiple three-pointers in six of his last seven, but I’d rather target his overall point line than chasing his three-point over/under, which is up to -205 for 2+ three-pointers.
Cason Wallace 20+ Points + Rebounds + Assists (+155)
If you’re looking for a longer shot play in this matchup, I really like Wallace in this spot. You can look at his points over 10.5 at -115 or his PRA (Points + Rebounds + Assists) at over 16.5 at -125, but I like this as a spot to be more aggressive and back him to get to 20 PRA.
Wallace had 20 points alone on Saturday night and added five rebounds for good measure. It was his third straight game with at least 29 minutes and over 20 PRA. Wallace’s increased production came in the game that Williams left early and he has two starts since then, so Wallace has been a big part of picking up J-Dub’s workload. He is an even better play if Wiggins misses a second straight game as well.
In his four games without Williams this season, Wallace averaged 11.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists and his usage rate increased by almost five percentage points to 17.7%.
