NFL free agency is in full swing, and now, the top wide receiver available is officially off the market. Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Cooper Kupp and the Seattle Seahawks are in agreement on a three-year deal.

Former Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp reached agreement with the Seahawks, per source.

Per Schefter, the contract is a three-year, $45 million deal which brings Kupp back to his home state. The Super Bowl LVI MVP is from Yakima, Washington and played college football at Eastern Washington University.

Kupp was released by the Rams at the start of the new league year after the team was unable to find a trade suitor for the 31-year-old wideout. It was a bit surprising given his status as one of the NFL’s most technical route runners and his impressive pedigree. However, injury concerns have mounted after Kupp appeared in just nine games in 2022, followed by 12-game campaigns in 2023 and 2024.

The Seahawks just signed quarterback Sam Darnold to a three-year, $100.5 million deal, so acquiring a talent like Kupp is an encouraging sign of the franchise’s willingness to remain competitive — even after trading away former signal-caller Geno Smith and top wideout DK Metcalf.

If Kupp can get back to full strength and stay on the field, he’ll be a fantastic target for the Seahawks’ new alongside emerging star Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Even while dealing with injuries in limited appearances over the last three seasons, Kupp still tallied at least 59 catches, 710 yards, and five touchdowns in each of those campaigns. It’s highly unlikely he ever recovers the form of his triple crown season, but Kupp remains an impactful weapon in any offense when on the field.
