The Grizzlies are fresh off a victory against the Jazz, extending their win streak to four games. Ja Morant and Luke Kennard each hit key three-pointers down the stretch to seal the win.
Now, Memphis has a big challenge as it hosts the Cavaliers on Friday, March 14. Cleveland is the top team in the NBA with a 55-10 record.
The Grizzlies are excellent as well, holding the second seed in the Western Conference, but they’re 42-24. It’s quite a drop from Cleveland’s record.
Memphis is a two-point underdog at home and the game total is set at 244.5 points on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Ja Morant over 23.5 points (-115)
Morant is a big reason for the Grizzlies’ success, especially as of late. The team is on a four-game winning streak without Jaren Jackson Jr.
The two-time All-Star point guard has upped his scoring in recent outings to help Memphis climb into the second seed in the Western Conference. Morant is averaging 30 points per game on 50 percent shooting over the past four games. That’s a major increase from his season average of 21.8 points per game on 43.9 percent shooting.
While these games were against weaker defenses, Morant also had 24 points against the Thunder and 25 against the Knicks in the previous two games. He’s capable of scoring against some of the best teams in the NBA.
This will be the second matchup with the Cavaliers this season. Morant scored 21 in the first meeting, but this round will be on Memphis’ turf. Memphis lost by six points in the first matchup, so this could be another close game if Jackson plays. It could get a bit out of hand without him, however.
That being said, Jackson’s absence has given Morant more scoring opportunities. While the Cavaliers are an elite team, Morant will be expected to score at a high rate to compete tonight. The line is set at 23.5 points, which is very do-able for the Grizzlies star.
The Cavaliers should still win this game but they’ll have to overcome a great scoring performance from Morant.
