The Tigers have made their mark with disciplined defense and interior dominance, cruising to a 24-5 record and a 16-2 finish in ACC play. They don’t overwhelm opponents with flash, but they dictate tempo, control the glass, and wear teams down in the paint. Their ability to slow the game down has been key in big wins, including victories over Kentucky and Duke at Littlejohn Coliseum.
Meanwhile, SMU thrives on speed and scoring depth, riding a high-powered offense to a 21-8 record in its first season in the ACC. A recent statement win over Virginia—where they shot 52% from the field—showed just how dangerous this team can be when firing on all cylinders.

Their rebounding issues are also hard to ignore.
