Nikola Jokic Points + Rebounds + Assists: 50+ −150: Can I even say Nikola Jokic has been on a tear, because isn’t he always on a tear? Last week, we witnessed the first 30-20-20 in NBA history by the 3x MVP, and he hasn’t slowed down since then. In back-to-back contests against the Thunder, Jokic put up 59 points, 31 boards and 17 assists. Casual. He now faces a Timberwolves’ defense that sits sixth in defensive efficiency, but has allowed an average of 112.7 points per game over their last three. I’ll take the Joker any day, honestly.
Anthony Edwards Points: 25+: −195: Let’s flip it to the other side of the matchup and talk Anthony Edwards. The 23-year-old is averaging 27.3 points per game this season (4th), but has only his 20+ in three of his last seven contests. With Jamal Murray, Aaron Gordon and the Joker all dealing with injuries, Edwards has a chance to capitalize on the Nuggets’ defense, which has been porous as of late. The Nuggets are allowing an average of 131.7 points per game over their last three (2nd-worst) and just gave up a combined 267 points to OKC in their last two games. ANT 25+ is a very reasonable number, but let’s parlay that with something else to make it more interesting.
