SMU vs. Syracuse (9:30 p.m. ET)

Syracuse’s leading scorer J.J. Starling finished with 27 points and five rebounds against Florida State. Starling only scored 10 points against SMU last week. After an impressive victory against the Seminoles and a two-point loss to SMU last week, it is surprising that the Orange are +8.5 underdogs on DraftKings Sportsbook.

SMU finished the year 22-9 but ended the regular season struggling, going 3-4. They are coming off a 76-69 loss to Florida State on Saturday. The Mustangs had six players score double-digits against Syracuse in their last matchup. SMU has shot the ball poorly from deep in its previous two games.

With SMU’s unpredictable scoring attack nightly, it is wise to back Syracuse at +8.5 and even consider the Orange to win the game outright at +350 on DraftKings Sportsbook. Syracuse has covered this spread in eight of its previous nine games.

College Basketball Pick: Syracuse +8.5
