Let’s breakdown a Wednesday afternoon game in the SEC.

South Carolina vs. Arkansas (1:00pm ET)

Most would say John Calipari has done enough to have his team on the right side of the bubble, but a loss to the worst team in the SEC could always change that. You want to do your best to control your own destiny, and avoiding a loss here (more than getting a win) is something that would really benefit Arkansas.

The Hogs enter the SEC Tournament winners of four of their last five, and the one loss happened to be on the road to this South Carolina team. Arkansas was completely off its game in that one, scoring a putrid 14 points in the first half in a blowout loss. South Carolina was a much stronger home team this season, though, going 10-8 on its home floor versus 2-11 in road and neutral games combined.

It sets up a terrific bounce-back spot for a more talented Arkansas team in this game, and a team that has figured out how to win away from home. The spread for this game has ballooned out to -4.5 overnight, so hopefully you were able to get this one in the betting group on Tuesday. If not I think you could either attach Arkansas to another big favorite on the moneyline (Iowa State or UNC), or play a double result on the Hogs.

College Basketball Pick: Arkansas ML (-140) 1.5-units
